Najpierw zaliczyliśmy spokojną i niesamowicie leniwą niedzielę w rodzinnym gronie. O ile przed przyjazdem do Polski autentycznie cieszyłem się na samą myśl o rozkoszowaniu się naszą rodzimą kuchnią, o tyle teraz powoli dopada mnie już lekki przesyt. Muszę jakoś wytrzymać jeszcze tydzień! Zresztą znam siebie – po dwóch, trzech tygodniach powrotu do belgijskiej rzeczywistości pewnie znowu zacznę tęsknić za naszymi smakołykami.

[ENG] First, we had a quiet, incredibly lazy Sunday with the family. While I was genuinely looking forward to indulging in Polish cuisine before arriving here, I’m now slowly hitting a wall with it. Just gotta survive one more week! Then again, knowing myself, after two or three weeks back in Belgium, I’ll probably start missing our local comfort food all over again.

Wieczorem, tuż po powrocie do domu, byłem tak potwornie objedzony, że jedynym ratunkiem na poprawienie samopoczucia wydało mi się wyjście na trening. Zwykły spacer w tym stanie byłby zdecydowanie zbyt lajtowy. Potrzebowałem solidnego, dłuższego biegu, żeby spalić te wszystkie nadprogramowe kalorie i przy okazji porządnie przewietrzyć głowę. Plan wykonałem w stu procentach – bez większego problemu pękło równe 10 kilometrów.

[ENG] By the time we got back home in the evening, I felt so stuffed that hitting the pavement seemed like the only possible remedy to feel human again. A casual walk definitely wouldn’t have cut it this time. I needed a solid, longer run to burn off those extra calories and properly clear my head. I crushed the goal effortlessly—a smooth 10 kilometers in the books.
