Aktywny dzień, który zaczął się w środku nocy. Zmobilizowałem się i przełamałem, żeby na przerwie w trakcie nocnej zmiany pójść na siłownię. Na początek zaplanowałem zestaw dość łatwych ćwiczeń, a przynajmniej tak mi się wydawało. Wykonałem wszystkie, ale nie było to łatwe. Dodatkowo spędziłem po około 20 minut na orbitreku i rowerze stacjonarnym. Jak zwykle był to duży zastrzyk adrenaliny, bez którego trudno byłoby funkcjonować do końca zmiany.
[ENG] It was an active day that started in the middle of the night. I pushed myself and broke through my reluctance to go to the gym during my night shift break. I had planned a set of fairly easy exercises to start with, or at least that's what I thought. I completed all of them, but it wasn't easy. I also spent about 20 minutes each on the elliptical and stationary bike. As usual, it was a big shot of adrenaline, without which it would have been hard to function until the end of the shift.
Pierwszą nockę zwykle odsypiam dłużej, tak samo było i dziś. Dopiero po południu wyszedłem z żoną na dłuższy spacer. Tym razem żona stwierdziła, żebyśmy poszli gdzieś dalej, bo wokół osiedla będzie maszerowała sama, kiedy ja będę biegał lub będę w pracy. Mimo tego, że chodziliśmy tymi trasami wiele razy, ona sama boi się tam chodzić, i nie chodzi o względy bezpieczeństwa, tylko o to, że boi się, że mogłaby zabłądzić. Orientacja w terenie nie jest jej mocną stroną.
[ENG] I usually sleep in longer after the first night shift, and today was no different. It was only in the afternoon that I went for a longer walk with my wife. This time, my wife suggested we go somewhere farther, because she'll be walking around the neighborhood by herself when I'm running or at work. Even though we've walked these routes many times, she's afraid to go there alone—and it's not for safety reasons, but because she's scared she might get lost. Finding her way around isn't her strong suit.
