Poniedziałek to był czas powrotu z Hiszpanii. Prawie cały czas za kółkiem, żeby jak najszybciej pokonać trasę ponad 1600 kilometrów, ale zrobiliśmy sobie kilka przerw w podróży, bo tak długa jazda bez przerwy jest niemożliwa. Podobnie jak w drodze do Walencji zaplanawałem, żeby co około trzy godziny zrobić sobie przerwę.

[ENG] On Monday it was time to make the return journey from Spain. Almost all the time behind the wheel to cover the distance of more than 1,600 kilometres as quickly as possible, but we did take a few breaks along the way, because such a long drive without a break is impossible. Just like on the way to Valencia, I planned to stop every three hours or so.

Pierwsza przerwa wypadła tuż po minięciu granicy francuskiej. Francuskie strefy odpoczynku przy autostradach są zdecydowanie najlepsze w Europie. Nie mam na myśli tych mniejszych umiejscowionych podobnie jak w innych krajach tuż przy autostradzie, do tych większych które są zwykle z zapleczem gastronomicznym i stacją benzynową trzeba zjechać około 200-300 metrów od autrostardy. Można w takim miejscu odpocząć bez szumu pobliskiej drogi.

[ENG] The first break came just after I crossed the French border. The French motorway service areas are by far the best in Europe. I don't mean the small ones that are right next to the motorway, as in other countries, but the larger ones, which usually have refreshment facilities and a petrol station, and you have to go down about 200-300 metres from the motorway. In such a place you can relax without the noise of the nearby road.

Nie mogłem odpuścić sobie zatrzymania się na strefie odpoczynku przy wiadukcie Millau. Sama jazda przez ten 2 i pół kilometrowy wiaduk rozciągnięty nad doliną rzeki Tran w Masywie Centralnym jest sporym przeżyciem. Jadąc w stronę Hiszpanii, pokonałem go nocą, wtedy nie można było poczuć wielkości tego obiektu. Przejazd autostradą przez Masyw Centralny jest bezpłatny za wyjątkiem tego wiaduktu.

[ENG] I could not forgive myself for stopping at the service area at the Millau viaduct. It is quite an experience just to drive through this 2.5 kilometre long viaduct over the valley of the Tran river in the Massif Central. Driving towards Spain, I crossed it at night, but then you don't get a sense of the magnificence of the structure. Crossing the motorway through the Massif Central is free, except for this viaduct.
