**On this thanksgiving, where many are busy with âwhat to fill the turkey withâ, they donât see the man who has made his home on this curb. Man and women I have to sad with a sad voice because there are so many in the same situation In front of the cruise ship advertisement in the window. Maybe he is even dreaming about leaving on the ship to better places. This man lost everything! He served for his country three tours, but that doesnât matter now. You see he still has an army hart, with his green duffle bag and jacket. Maybe to show who he used to be. He got injured and the care for our veterans now just is not enough.
Some have to live on the streets, not because the want it but there is no other solution. Life is expensive. The walker is near his body, and enholds all he owns. Thank god some people passing by left him some coins, but we all know this is not nearly enough. The ones that kept us safe deserve more.

There are many reasons why our servicemen gets broken. But most, especially on active combat was PTSD apart from multiple physical/ debilitating injuries.
Working as a nurse in rehabilitation sector, I believe that its important to support these people- not just on physically getting better but, set up goals like, where can they get help when this or that happens? Who to call, who to e mail, who to go to?
This is just another example on how ungrateful and how unappreciative people can get.Its sad. But that's the reality of the world.
