What's up people, how are you? welcome to a new post, it's been many months since I posted on Pinmapple, I hope you can enjoy this beautiful landscape and that this post will provoke you or give you that little push that sometimes we need to take a little vacation or visit a specific place.
Que pasa gente, como estan? sean bienvenidos a un nuevo post, han pasado muchos meses desde que publique en Pinmapple, espero puedan disfrutar de este hermoso paisajes y que este post les provoque o les de ese pequeño empujón que a veces necesitamos para tomar unas pequeñas vacaciones o visitar algún lugar en especifico.
Very few people know it but my birthday is January 27th, normally it's just a normal and quiet day, but this time @oscariart made it very special, she decided to visit me and make my birthday different and unforgettable, she had told me that she wanted to go to the beach, so I invited her to the beaches near the city.
Muy pocas personas lo saben pero mi cumpleaños es el 27 de enero, normalmente solo es un día normal y tranquilo, pero esta vez @oscariart lo hizo muy especial, ya que decidió visitarme y hacer que mi cumpleaños fuera diferente e inolvidable, ella me había comentado que tenia muchas ganas de ir a la playa, así que la invite a las playas cercanas a la ciudad.
On Sunday January 29th early in the morning we decided to go to the beaches in Lechería, I do not consider them ugly, they are beaches near the city, they can not have the paradisiacal landscape that one would like, however in these months the water was a little greener than normal, product of algae I guess, we talked to a cab driver and asked him to drop us off at Playa La Virgen, honestly I had a while without going to this beach and when we arrived it was very ugly, I didn't want to swim there, there were too many rocks and a lot of music that was not to my liking, in short it was not going to be pleasant to spend the day there, @oscariart didn't like it either, so we started walking along Lido Boulevard a street that connects the most touristic beaches in the area, surprisingly the lady here was very demanding hahahah, we walked along Lido and Los Canales beaches approximately 2. 3 kilometers of beach and she didn't like any of them, we decided to go back home and leave early Monday morning to a different place.
El domingo 29 de enero temprano por la mañana decidimos salir a las playas en Lechería, no considero que sean feas, son playas cercanas a la ciudad, no pueden tener el paisaje paradisiaco que uno desearía, sin embargo en estos meses el agua si estaba un poquito mas verde de lo normal, producto de las algas supongo, hablamos con un taxista y le pedimos que nos dejara en Playa La Virgen, honestamente tenia un tiempo sin ir a esta playa y cuando llegamos estaba muy fea, no quise bañarme allí, habían demasiadas piedras y mucha música que no era de mi agrado, en pocas palabras no iba a ser nada agradable pasar el día ahí a @oscariart tampoco le gusto, asi comenzamos a caminar por el Bulevar Lido una calle que conecta a las playas mas turísticas en la zona , sorpresivamente la señorita aquí presente fue muy exigente hahahah, caminamos por playa Lido y Los Canales aproximadamente 2.3 kilómetros de playa y ninguna de estas llego a gustarle ni poquito, decidimos devolvernos para la casa y salir el lunes temprano a un lugar diferente.
We walked approximately 5 kilometers, but we were talking so much nonsense and laughing that time passed very quickly, we had also talked about going to have Merengada at Helados Dominic, it is something we do whenever we can, they are very tasty, however, when we arrive at the ice cream parlor it was closed, in a certain way we both looked like clowns🤡, we returned home and since it was still early we decided to go see a movie at the cinema, we saw El Gato Con Botas - El Último Deseo, the plaza mayor cinema It was desolate, there was almost no one, we finished watching the movie at 3 in the afternoon, we returned home to rest and plan tomorrow's trip, because obviously we would go to a beautiful beach.
Caminamos aproximadamente 5 kilómetros, pero estábamos hablando tantas tontearías y riéndonos que el tiempo paso muy rápido, también habíamos hablado de ir a tomar Merengada en Helados Dominic es algo que hacemos cada vez que podemos, son muy ricos, sin embargo al llegar a la heladería esta estaba cerrada, de cierta forma quedamos con cara de payasos los dos🤡, regresamos a la casa y como todavía era temprano decidimos ir a ver una película en el cine, vimos El Gato Con Botas - El Ultimo Deseo, el cine de plaza mayor estaba desolado, no había casi nadie, terminamos de ver la película a las 3 de la tarde, regresamos a la casa para descansar y planear el viaje de mañana, porque evidentemente iríamos a una playa bonita.

I took this photo in the wave breaker that is close to the Caribbean Mall, it was one of the busiest shopping centers in Lechería but the economic crisis was relentless, if you go almost all the stores will be closed, you can barely see another person walking in the mall, it looks like a ghost town, while we were coming back I met a very friendly taxi driver, I got into a conversation with him and he informed us a little about the boat trip to Isla de Plata, we originally planned to take a boat on the Paseo Colon, but unfortunately they only work here on Saturdays and Sundays, which is rubbish.
Esta foto la tome en el rompe olas que esta cerca al Caribbean Mall, fue uno de los centros comerciales mas concurridos de Lechería pero la crisis económica fue implacable, si llegan a ir casi todas las tiendas estarán cerradas, apenas y puedes ver a otra persona caminando en el centro comercial, parece un pueblo fantasma, mientras veníamos de regreso me encontré con un taxista muy amable, le saque conversación y nos informo un poquito acerca de lo viaje en lancha a Isla de Plata, originalmente planeábamos tomar una lancha en el Paseo Colon, pero aquí lamentablemente solo trabajan Sábados y Domingos, lo cual es una basura.
At night we had talked about if there were no boats working on Paseo Colon that we were simply going to return to one of the dairy beaches that we visited yesterday, we arrived at Paseo Colon and indeed there was no one working, I spoke to the taxi driver again to that will take us to Guanta, specifically to the La Baritina pier.
En la noche habíamos hablado de que si no habían lanchas trabajando en el Paseo Colon que simplemente nos íbamos a devolver a una de las playas en lechería que visitamos ayer, llegamos al paseo colon y efectivamente no había nadie trabajando, volví hablar con el taxista para que nos llevara a Guanta, específicamente al embarcadero La Baritina.
Since it was Monday, there were not many people lining up for the boat, in fact there was no one, we were the first to arrive, these boats have a minimum number of people to set sail, 10 people, 3 dollars each, I did not want to wait, so we hit the full boat, 30 dollars round trip, you just have to talk to them to agree on the time they should pick you up, for a few minutes we had Isla de Plata just for us, if one day you want to go and it's not crowded with people , try to do it on a weekday, it was peaceful and quiet, there was no annoying music ruining the atmosphere.
Ya que era lunes no habían muchas personas haciendo fila para la lancha, de hecho no había nadie nosotros éramos los primeros en llegar, dichas lanchas tienen un mínimo de personas para zarpar, 10 personas 3 dólares cada puesto, no quería esperar así que pegamos la lancha completa, 30 dólares ida y vuelta, simplemente debes hablar con ellos para acordar la hora en la que deben ir a buscarte, por unos cuantos minutos tuvimos Isla de Plata solo para nosotros, si algún día quieren ir y que no este abarrotado de gente, traten de hacerlo en un día de semana, se respiraba paz y tranquilidad, no había ninguna música fastidiosa arruinando el ambiente.
I have to be honest, as soon as I arrived I kept quiet to contemplate how beautiful the place was, the landscape and the crystal clear waters, since I stepped foot on the dock I was happy to have come and especially with the person who wanted to accompany me @oscariart
Tengo que ser sincero, apenas llegue me quede callado a contemplar lo bello que era el lugar, el paisaje y las aguas cristalinas, desde que pise el muelle estaba feliz de haber venido y sobre todo junto a la persona que quería que me acompañara @oscariart
After a moment some people began to arrive, fortunately none of them was playing harsh music, I'm not grumpy or anything but I didn't want to listen to anything that would ruin my peace of mind being in such a beautiful place, while I was in the water I saw that beautiful landscape and majestic and in my mind I repeated to myself "the world is yours, take it, whatever you propose you will achieve, here is another proof, look where you are" that day I took a weight off my shoulders.
Después de un momento comenzaron a llegar algunas personas, afortunadamente ninguno de ellos llevaba música castrosa, no soy gruñón ni nada pero no quería escuchar nada que arruinara mi tranquilidad estando en un lugar tan bonito, mientras estaba metido en el agua veía ese paisaje tan hermoso y majestuoso y en mi mente me repetía "el mundo es tuyo, tómalo, lo que te propongas lo vas lograr, aquí tienes otra prueba mas, mira donde estas" ese día me quite un peso de encima.
We spent a long time playing, we don't have photos but @oscariart climbed on my back so I could carry her, if she were a turtle she was my shell hahaha I really enjoyed it, she also tried to climb on my knees but it was difficult to keep her balance, I did we made it but we almost died hahahahah maybe I'm exaggerating a bit.
Estuvimos un buen rato jugando, no tenemos fotos pero @oscariart se monto en mi espalda para que la llevara, si fuera una tortuga ella era mi caparazón hahaha lo disfrute muchísimo, también intento montarse en mis rodillas pero era complicado mantener el equilibrio, lo logramos pero casi nos morimos hahahahah tal vez estoy exagerando un poquito.
Since it was Monday, none of the restaurants on the island were open, so if you're going to go, bring plenty of sweets, we brought several cookies and a small banana, it wasn't much but it was enough for the whole time we stayed, bring sunscreen, bring water and if you can, bring a cava with soft drinks, unless you go there on a weekend, surely there is much more business on the island, but certainly Isla de Plata is small, it is not very big, so go and it is crowded with people Possibly damage the experience, the treatment of the people in La Baritina was excellent, they are very friendly and responsible, take dollars in cash if you plan to go, in the same way the Movistar signal reaches the island, which surprised me quite a bit.
Como que era lunes ninguno de los restaurantes de la isla estaba abierto, entonces si van a ir lleven bastantes dulces, nosotros llevamos varias galletas y un platanito, no fue mucho pero si alcanzo para todo el rato que nos quedamos, lleven bloqueador solar, lleven agua y si pueden lleven alguna cava con refrescos, a menos que vayan en fin de semana ahí seguro que hay mucho mas comercio en la isla, pero ciertamente Isla de Plata es pequeña, no es muy grande, entonces ir y que este abarrotada de personas posiblemente dañe la experiencia, el trato de las personas en La Baritina fue excelente, son muy amables y responsables, lleven dólares en efectivo si piensan ir, de igual forma la señal de movistar llega a la isla, cosa que me sorprendió bastante.
At 1:30 we started back, we arrived at the house at approximately 2:30, we got to bathe and order food at home, we thought we would go out to eat at a Japanese food restaurant but we were super tired and a little sunstroke, so we decided order delivery and my god what a delicious meal, everything was divine, I want to eat there again but this time going to the restaurant.
A la 1:30 partimos de regreso llegamos a la cada aproximadamente a las 2:30, llegamos a bañarnos y a pedir comida a domicilio, pensábamos salir a comer en un restaurante de comida japonesa pero estábamos super cansados y un poquito insolados, así que decidimos pedir delivery y dios mío que comida tan rica, todo estaba divino, quiero volver a comer allí pero esta vez yendo al restaurante.
I was laughing a lot with Oscari because when the food arrived she spent half an hour recording a reel for instagram of a Tsunami roll that she ordered, it was great.
Me estuve riendo mucho con Oscari porque cuando llego la comida estuvo media hora grabando un reel para instagram de un roll Tsunami que ella pidió, estaba buenísimo.
