Exploring Lalbagh Fort – A Historic Gem in Old Dhaka, Bangladesh .

Recently, I had the opportunity to explore Lalbagh Fort for the very first time. This stunning historical site is nestled in Old Dhaka, right in the heart of Bangladesh's capital. It's one of Dhaka's most beloved and iconic landmarks, and I had always dreamed of seeing it up close.

Getting in was a breeze; the ticket only set me back 50 BDT. Although the price is slightly higher for international tourists, many foreign visitors still flock to this incredible spot. As soon as I stepped inside, I was enveloped by a serene and historical vibe that filled the air.

Lalbagh Fort, or Lalbagh Kella as it's also known, boasts a fascinating history. It was constructed in the 17th century during the Mughal era by Prince Muhammad Azam, the son of Emperor Aurangzeb. Interestingly, the fort was never fully completed, which adds to its allure.

Even so, the architecture is stunning, showcasing the Mughal style with its expansive gardens, mosques, and tombs.

One of my favorite parts of the visit was snapping photos. The fort is a paradise for photography enthusiasts.

The lighting, the historical buildings, and the wide-open spaces provide a fantastic backdrop for capturing memories.

I managed to take a few great shots, and I felt a sense of pride in how they turned out — it was a wonderful way to hone my photography skills.
