Oh wow, that looks absolutely beautiful! It also doesn't look nearly as tropical as I would have expected. I mean in some photos yes, but then in other ones it actually looks a bit more "northern".

Yes I agree. That island didn't look tropical at all. Which is weird because Sao Miguel was very tropical looking and it's super close to Sao Jorge. My only guess is that Sao Jorge is a newer land formation so it hasn't had the time to develop tropical plants in the same way. Or maybe its wind related or something. Who knows!?!

That is a good point. It is pretty crazy that new land is getting added all the time. It's easy to forget that our planet is a growing and changing thing.
