Sea-Mountain-Sea View / Meer-Berg-Meer-Blick #146

Today is the continuation of last week's trip into the mountains & some sea views from another (rather windless) day.	Heute gibt es die Fortsetzung des Trips der letzten Woche in die Berge & einige Meeresbilder von einem anderen (windstillen) Tag.

After I had found the church & that abandoned house in a great location (although too far uphill to live there, if you don't have a car), I went downhill towards the south.	Nach dem Fund der Kirche & des verlassenen Hauses in großartiger Lage (wenn auch zu hochgelegen, um dort zu leben, wenn man kein Auto hat) fuhr ich bergab nach Süden.

There you got a nice view on the southern part of the Panachaiko. For some strange reason, I never climbed any of the actual mountains there. Totally not because I'm a lazy arse, of course.	Dort hatte ich einen schönen Blick auf den südlichen Teil des Panachaiko. Seltsamerweise war ich nie auf einem der eigentlichen Berge dort. Natürlich liegt das nicht daran, daß ich ein fauler Arsch bin.

As you can see, although people are living there, the area is actually quite nice. Perfect for hiking or biking.	Wie man sieht, ist die Gegend wirklich schön, auch wenn dort Leute leben. Perfekt zum Wandern & Radeln.

A bit further downhill, I found another one of the ubiquitous iconostasia. This was a rather simple model, made from metal & glass. But something got on my nerves...	Etwas weiter bergab fand ich wieder eine der allgegenwärtigen Iconostasia. Diesmal ein eher simples Modell aus Metall & Glas. Aber irgendwas nervte ...

Another crazy barker.	Wieder mal ein verrückter Kläffer.

Back to the little shrine. Inside some of the usual paraphernalia, although for some reason wrapped in aluminium foil.	Zurück zum kleinen Schrein. Er enthielt die üblichen Paraphernalien, aber aus irgendeinem Grund in Alufolie gewickelt.

No rest for the wicked with a crazy barker above.	Totenruhe unmöglich mit einem verrückten Kläffer.

Well, moving on... & I found a wall of cacti. Or, hmm, a wall with cacti overgrowing it. I found it interesting how cacti could thrive in Greece, but now I have seen them even in northern Albania. So, they must be quite hardy, actually.	Naja, weiter ging's ... & ich fand eine Kaktusmauer. Oder, hmm, eine Mauer von Kakteen überwachsen. Fand es schon interessant, wie Kakteen in Griechenland gedeihen, aber jetzt habe ich sie sogar in Nordalbanien gesehen. Scheinen also doch recht kältefest zu sein.

A faint rainbow. It wasn't raining where I was, but obviously some parts of Patras got wet.	Ein Regenbogen. Wo ich war, regnete es nicht, aber offenbar wurden Teile von Patras doch naß.

Then I came across some more abandoned buildings. I'm rather annoyed that I'm such a lazy bastard & don't have enough money. So many abandoned houses in Patras are fairly cheap & sometimes in really great locations.	Dann fand ich weitere verlassene Gebäude. Nervt etwas, daß ich so ein fauler Hund bin & nicht genug Geld habe. Viele verlassene Häuser in Patras sind relativ billig & teils in wirklich großartiger Lage.

The neighbour not only abandoned the building, but also his car. & that was that day, but because we need some sea for a change, here's another day when I went to the coast (but didn't take many photos).	Der Nachbar hatte nicht nur das Haus zurückgelassen, sondern auch sein Auto. Soviel zu diesem Tag, aber weil wir zur Abwechslung etwas Meer brauchen, kommt hier ein anderer Tag, an dem ich an die Küste fuhr (& nicht viele Fotos machte).

Leftovers of a clam shell. Haven't seen many in this colour. Speaking of colour:	Reste einer Muschel. In dieser Farbe habe ich nicht viele gesehen. Wo wir gerade bei Farbe sind:

So white. For a more interesting colour combination:	So weiß. & eine interessantere Farbkombination:

Looks almost like one of those meat stones, only that the reddish part is green. (Maybe the meat has gone bad?) & since we had a completely white stone, we need some contrast:	Sieht fast aus wie einer dieser Specksteine, nur daß der rötliche Teil grün ist. (Vielleicht ist das Speck schlecht geworden?) & da wir einen komplett weißen Stein hatten, brauchen wir etwas Kontrast:

This was the time & place of the title photo. Looking towards the north coast of the Gulf of Patras. The sea was very calm, just enough movement to cause a few ripples.	Dies war Ort & Zeit des Titelbildes, mit Blick auf die Nordküste des Golfes von Patras. Die See war sehr still, gerade genug Bewegung für leichtesten Wellengang.

& then I noticed something in the water:	Dann fiel mir im Wasser etwas auf:

What is it? A jellyfish for a change? If only I had worn my glasses.	Was ist es? Vielleicht mal eine Qualle? Hätte ich nur meine Brille getragen.

What's that? A mouth?	Könnte das ein Maul sein?

Ah, dang it! Probably just some plastic bag. But at least some nice pictures because of the reflections & distortions. With some colour edits, it is disco time (see below the text).	Ach, verdammt. Wohl nur eine Plastiktüte. Aber wenigstens ergab das mit den Reflexionen & Verzerrungen ganz nette Bilder. Mit kleinen Farbänderungen gehen wir in die Disco (siehe unter dem Text).

Out at sea, a lonely, small fishing boat.	Auf See, ein einsames, kleines Fischerboot.

The mountains at the north coast of the Gulf of Patras always attracted me, for some reason. I've never actually gone there, though, except for the night when I left Patras by bus.	Die Berge an der Nordküste des Golfs von Patras fand ich aus irgendeinem Grund immer sehr attraktiv. War aber nie da, außer in der Nacht, als ich Patras mit dem Bus verließ.

First a lonely fishing boat, now a lonely seagull. & another strange object in the water:	Erst ein einsames Fischerboot, jetzt eine einsame Möwe. & noch ein seltsames Ding im Wasser:

A snorkeler. I think that was the one & only time that I saw someone snorkeling (or diving, for that matter) in Patras. Which is a bit strange, because esp. in the north of Patras, the water is usually nice & clear. But that should do it for today, now just a few more pics:	Ein Schnorchler. Denke, das war das einzige Mal, daß ich jemanden in Patras schnorcheln (oder tauchen) sah. Was auch etwas seltsam ist, da besonders im Norden von Patras das Wasser meist sehr gut & klar ist.
