THE SKY, THE ROCKS & THE SEA ON A LOVELY WINTER AFTERNOON.

The photographs I'm about to show you in today's post were taken more than a decade ago. On the mildly cold afternoon of the 17h of December 2006. As often in those days, I was rambling along the stretch of coastline a couple of kilometers from the village of Shishan, and a little more than ten kilometers from where I live. I was using my first digital SLR camera bought earlier that year. It was a Canon EOS 350D equipped with the 18-55mm Lens that came with the camera. The beautiful variety of intricate shapes and textures provided by the shattered clouds above the scenery looked great in combination with the rocks and the sea. Watching these old shots brings up swarms of less-defined, almost ghostly pictures from that period, elusive, unreliable visuals buried in my memory. I can't show you that, arguably more interesting or intriguing stuff, all I have for today's post is what I caught with the camera that doesn't work anymore. And that's it. Have a good viewing.

That's an interesting stretch of coastline. From those pics, it doesn't look rough.. but I'm wonder if that's just that particular day? Almost looks like you could just swim out.. do people do that? i.e. just swim way out? what bout sharks? Also looks like mysterious lmao. Dope pics with your earlier camera camera my friend.

You can swim safely everywhere in the Adriatic Sea. Sharks are rare and I never heard of an attack in this region. So yes, you can just swim out from this coast as far as you can swim.

Every picture tells a story of peace, tranquillity and isolation. In my opinion there is nothing better than walking along a beach (sand or rocks) at any time of year!

I like the view of the distant horizon, at the intersection between the sky and the land. The place is an open space and they eyes can see much far ahead :)
