The 31st of July 2014 was a funny and dynamic summer day for me.

The night before, I was dancing, jumping, talking, and joking with a bunch of friends, and I did it till the morning. Here you can see one of those friends calling and following an urban pigeon through the main street of the historic center of Pula. At dawn, when the discotheque went silent, we walked around the beautiful old town for hours.

It was pretty late in the morning when me and two friends who were staying in my house for a week of summer vacation, returned to Medulin, my hometown.

It was time to chill out for an hour or two. Maybe three.

In the early afternoon, after a short, restoring sleep, we were in the city again. In the apartment of another friend who lived in Pula during those years.

A group of friends and people we didn't know was already there. It was a fine little daytime party with dance, music, and all the good summer stuff.

After that, we went on a little trip in the woods.

We went exploring the area around the village called Valtura, and we took a bit of LSD there.

In this photograph, a bushcricket is feeding on a dead beetle in the middle of the unpaved road that leads through the woods.

It was a great trip. The walk through the woods and meadows that I visited many times became an epic journey through a wonderland never seen before.

Every moment was intense and colorful. Beautifully weird, bordering with scary at times.
