A MONOCHROME JOURNEY ACROSS THE MEADOW

I mean, it wasn't a single walk on a specific day, across a single specific meadow, as the title suggests. This is a compilation of black-and-white photographs I took on several occasions last year.
The plants, fungi, and small arthropods you'll see here were all found in the meadows all around Istria.
The focus here is on black-and-white aesthetics, rather than the biology-related aspects. That's why you won't find the name of the species or any other text after this short introduction.

And that's it. I have insects, and I have plants. Some spiders are here, too. You can also see a mushroom or two, and everything looks well-balanced. The only thing the post still lacks is 400 or 500 words to make the effort look more substantial. So let's start. Let's accumulate those words.
It's 4 am right now. The seventh day of December started a few hours ago. When I started this post, December was still unfolding its sixth day.
It's cold outside, the sky is clear, and the moon is big, bright, and almost full.
My apartment is cold as well. I like it that way. I love to have thick clothes to warm me up and cold, refreshing air all around me.
My cats are sleeping all together in a warm, furry pile on my bed while I'm writing this.
Recently, a few months ago, a vending machine with bakery products was placed near the main square of my hometown. I have a very short walk, only about fifty meters or so, to that machine, so I bought two cheese strudels an hour ago.
Delicious strudels they were, believe me. A bakery from the city of Pazin produces the stuff displayed on the shelves inside that vending machine.
By the way, I strongly recommend you avoid reading this late-night crap I'm writing. I invite you to observe all these lovely letters and allow yourself to be impressed by the sheer amount of useless words.
To reach the goal of 400, maybe 500 words faster, I decided to mention some two-word things. New York, for example, that's a two-word thing. Then we have that song "New York, New York," which transforms that useful two-word thing into an even more useful four-word thing.
Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin are some nice two-word things too.
Sopor Aeternus & The Ensemble of Shadows it's a pretty long name for a band ... or musical project ... or whatever. But is it the longest? Who knows? I, most certainly don't.
I have a black leather jacket on right now. It's a very old jacket. It dates from the year 1978, but it looks almost new. It's worn out just a litlle bit, and that makes it look considerably better than when it was brand new, and probably a bit too shiny to be really cool.
I have also thick rural socks that look like boots made of wool.
I'm sure the few of you who made it this far in reading this silly part of the post will be inspired to follow my fashion example and start a new worldwide trend.
If we can't change the world, let's change at least our appearance for no good reason whatsoever.
I have ten fingers, but only two of them are busy typing this crap. The others are asleep, half asleep, or something. My brain is also half asleep.
The awakened half of me is ready to go to bed. Good night.
