Witnessing the April 8th, 2024 Eclipse! 🌚🌝 (ENG-ESP)

Today was something else! A once in a lifetime opportunity! 🤩 I have never witnessed an eclipse for myself, so I was extremely excited by the event.

¡Hoy fue otra cosa! ¡Una oportunidad unica en la vida! 🤩 Nunca he presenciado un eclipse por mí mismo, así que el evento me emocionó muchísimo.

Here in my hometown, we were blessed to be right in the pathway of the solar eclipse. We had a perfect view from start to finish 😊 Obviously I knew that everyone's main focus would be getting shots of the sun itself. I knew that I had a crappy phone camera that wasn't going to capture much to begin with 😅 So instead I decided to focus on the drastic changes in the sky.

Aquí en mi ciudad natal, tuvimos la suerte de estar justo en el camino del eclipse solar. Tuvimos una vista perfecta de principio a fin 😊 Obviamente sabía que el enfoque principal de todos sería tomar fotografías del sol mismo. Sabía que tenía una cámara de teléfono de mala calidad que, para empezar, no iba a capturar mucho 😅 Así que decidí centrarme en los cambios drásticos en el cielo.


The eclipse was scheduled for around 3:15 PM. This was the very first photo I took at 3:00 PM.

El eclipse estaba previsto para las 15.15 horas. Esta fue la primera foto que tomé a las 3:00 p.m.


The second photo was taken at around 3:13 PM.

La segunda foto fue tomada alrededor de las 3:13 p.m.


This third photograph was taken during the middle of the total eclipse.

Esta tercera fotografía fue tomada durante la mitad del eclipse total.


This was the eclipse that I captured; nothing to write home about 😅 However my husband was out while it was happening, and he was able to capture some amazing photos with his camera.

Este fue el eclipse que capturé; No hay nada que destacar 😅 Sin embargo, mi esposo estaba fuera mientras sucedía y pudo capturar algunas fotos increíbles con su cámara.
