My Daughters Embodied in Art
After about a week straight of working, today I was finally able to finish some artwork that I have been making of our two young daughters ๐ฅนโค๏ธ

โ ๏ธ (Just to be clear, all of these images were ONLY colored -- I did not draw the pictures. They all came from the same coloring book: The Halloween Coloring Book by Jasmine Beckett-Griffith) โ ๏ธ
I was the first one up this morning, so I quickly got to work on finishing this piece for our girls ๐๐ I used glitter pens and pencil crayons for this one, and it turned out absolutely stunning!
Personally, I have always seen Kiva as the embodiment of purple, and Riley of yellow. The girls may not see it this way -- Kiva would say her favorite color is pink, and Riley orange -- but simply by looking at them, one can tell they exude these colors.

While I worked, I was reminded of the two most important things in our daughters' lives...
The first is that I pray that they will find God ๐
As a mother, I have never cared about the state of one's soul as much as I have for my children. They are the only things of this earth that can be granted the Kingdom of Heaven, and I pray that when our times come, we will all see each other there again...
And the second is I pray that they will always have each other โค๏ธ

Listening to Noah Kahan's Willing and Able on repeat truly solidifies for me just how many of us are no longer in contact with our siblings, which is terrible because sibling bonds are sacred. I desperately wish that my sister hadn't tarnished our sisterhood in favor of petty things; I could only truly be my authentically weird self with her, nobody else...
I love these girls so much -- my children have become my entire purpose in life ๐ I know that I am nowhere close to being the mother that they need me to be, but I show up for them every day, and I am constantly trying to improve myself for the sake of my family. I will learn to make gratitude a constant in my life, and I pray that we will have one another in each other's lives forever.
(The taller one is meant to be Kiva, the oldest)
(The yellow one is Riley)
Aside from that, here are a few more pieces that I have completed from this book:

I love this beautiful picturesque landscape; the rolling hills of Ireland ๐ฎ๐ชโค๏ธ Here, a lovely redhead elegantly plays her cello. A white cat calmly sits beside her as an impending storm approaches...

This one is one that I actually completed for our youngest daughter's 2nd birthday! ๐ To this day, I still find it so strange. I literally gave no thought to the color of her dress and just started coloring her green! ๐ Again, perceiving her how I do today, I recognize that she is more yellow/orange than green.

Finally, here is one that I completed for a bereaved mother. She had lost her 10-month-old baby to heart failure several years ago, and I attempted to recreate how she may look today as a 8-year-old girl. The original picture had skulls, but obviously that was inappropriate, so I did my best to blur their features...
That is it for today's post! ๐ Thank you so much for taking the time to check it out. Do you have a favorite piece? ๐ค I am hoping to share more with this group in the future, so please stay tuned~
