Chow Down! (Snapping Some Gems 📸)
Happy Thursday everyone -- we are almost at the end of another week 🙏 This week, I wanted to share some family and nature photos of when we all went out for a walk. I was even fortunate enough to get some close ups of spiders! 🕷
The homes throughout the neighborhood are still adorned with beautiful shrubs and flowers 🌸 I snapped some pictures of the ones that caught my eye...
These flowers here are both Tulips, a very common variety of flora here. One is a bicolored one -- truly beautiful 🥰
These ones are known as Dianthus. I had never seen this type before, and I thought the frilly petals were very cute~ 😁 These are two different kinds: one sporting lavender petals, the other dark magenta.
✳️gasp✳️ What's this?... Within the bushes and trees, I was catching sight of webs sparkling in the branches. When I went to take a closer look, I was greeted by hiding Funnel Weaver Spiders! 😄 A common species found in the area, they are completely harmless. They HAVE been known to bite, but they usually can't break skin.
On the way home, we stopped at a park so that the girls could play with their brand new 🫧 BUBBLES!! 🫧 Oh yes, our girls love bubbles -- what kid doesn't?! 😂 So, needless to say, they had a great time...
As I look at our oldest in these pictures, I truly cannot get over just how grown up she is becoming 🥹 We are reaching another milestone of 5-years-old; she is starting school now! (Thankfully, we are homeschooling, but still!)
Our youngest is also catching me by surprise 🥹 Please God, we will be welcoming another baby in February, and our Smiley Riley will no longer be so little! 🥺
We began walking back home, and I took some more shots of the flowers. This one here is a type of rose, Floribunda. This one had seen better days, but I still enjoyed its lovely shades and hues.
This flower is Sulphur Cinquefoil. It reminds me of a Buttercup, another flower that I've loved since my childhood 🥹
Finally, we saw more spiders!! 🕷😱 Yes, there were still tons of spiders enjoying the fresh rain that had just passed. In fact, we even caught a picture of one of them eating a captured bug! 😖 I think she was eating some sort of moth....
