🎂 Celebrating My 31st Birthday 🎂 (ENG-ESP)

Yesterday, February 11th, I celebrated my 31st birthday with my family! 🙏❤️ It was a day well spent, and I don't feel a day over 20 😂

We are not rich by any means, and I do not say that begrudgingly. Rather, we are accustomed to celebrating the big days in little ways! 🙏 This was my birthday gift: a teddy bear hoodie 🧸 Our oldest daughter had gone shopping with her daddy and decided that mommy would really like this hoodie 😄 And to be honest -- I do! It's very cozy and soft...

No somos ricos en ningún sentido, y no lo digo a regañadientes. ¡Más bien, estamos acostumbrados a celebrar los días importantes con pequeños detalles! 🙏 Este fue mi regalo de cumpleaños: una sudadera con osito de peluche. 🧸 Nuestra hija mayor fue de compras con su papá y decidió que a mamá le encantaría esta sudadera. 😄 Y, para ser sincera, ¡a mí me encanta! Es muy calentita y suave...

Our first stop was to the mall, to pick up a birthday cake. I always bring bird food along with me, so during our walk I stopped to feed some pigeons quickly. I feel like pigeons are a fairly common bird, but if you're unfamiliar with them, they are VERY friendly and have no issues approaching humans 😂

Nuestra primera parada fue en el centro comercial a comprar un pastel de cumpleaños. Siempre llevo comida para pájaros, así que durante el paseo me detuve a alimentar a unas palomas. Creo que las palomas son un ave bastante común, pero si no las conoces, son MUY amigables y no les importa acercarse a los humanos. 😂

After the mall, we were fortunate enough to catch the firetrucks pulling into their station. This was great luck because for the past week, our youngest daughter has been asking to "try" every truck that drives past! 😂 Needless to say, they both had a great time, checking out the trucks 🚒

Después del centro comercial, tuvimos la suerte de ver los camiones de bomberos llegando a su estación. ¡Qué suerte, porque durante la última semana, nuestra hija menor ha estado pidiendo "probar" cada camión que pasa! 😂 Ni que decir tiene, se lo pasaron genial viendo los camiones 🚒

This was our oldest daughter's second time checking out the trucks. The first time she was very shy and uncomfortable. She was still a bit shy, but thankfully had no problem going in the truck this time.

Esta era la segunda vez que nuestra hija mayor visitaba los camiones. La primera vez se sintió muy tímida e incómoda. Todavía estaba un poco tímida, pero por suerte esta vez no tuvo problema en subirse al camión.

After the firetrucks, we stopped at McDonald's for some birthday dinner. This was perhaps the first time we had eaten out for a birthday in a few years! 🙏 So I was extremely grateful to my mama for gifting me with some birthday money; she is amazing... The girls had their favorite: chicken nugget Happy Meal!

Después de los camiones de bomberos, paramos en McDonald's para cenar por nuestro cumpleaños. ¡Quizás era la primera vez que comíamos fuera por un cumpleaños en varios años! 🙏 Así que le agradecí muchísimo a mi mamá por regalarme dinero; es increíble... Las niñas pidieron su favorito: nuggets de pollo en la Cajita Feliz.

To end the day, we made a pit stop at our RV. It is still not ready to go on the road just yet, but my husband has put in a lot of work to make the interior warm and comfortable. Our winter season has been unforgiving this year, with temperatures reaching below -25 degrees Celcius 🥶 But, my husband has done so much work that despite the outside temperatures, it is still 20 degrees Celcius inside! 🙏 He is absolutely amazing...

Para terminar el día, hicimos una parada en nuestra autocaravana. Todavía no está lista para salir, pero mi marido se ha esforzado mucho para que el interior sea cálido y cómodo. Nuestro invierno ha sido implacable este año, con temperaturas que han bajado de los -25 grados Celsius 🥶 Pero mi marido ha trabajado tanto que, a pesar de las temperaturas exteriores, ¡adentro todavía hace 20 grados Celsius! 🙏 Es absolutamente increíble...

We celebrated with a lovely birthday cake 😋🎂 It was a chocolate truffle cake; very rich and dense, but very delicious 🤤 As you can tell by our girls, we all loved it!

Those were the highlights from my birthday! ❤️🥳 As I said, it was a wonderful day. I have been feeling rather conflicted lately, so it was nice to unwind and relax with my family. I appreciate everyone who sent well-wishes and good vibes 🙏 Thank you to everyone who helped celebrate!
