The difference between flies and other insects is in their wings. Flies only have a pair of wings for flying called halteres. Flies belong to the order Diptera. The order Diptera itself is the largest order, estimated to include 240,000 species, including mosquitoes, gnats and others. Animals of this order usually live by sucking plant juice, sucking blood, helping pollination and so on. Diptera is also one of the insect orders that have a very important role, both in terms of ecological and human interests.

The body of this insect is usually short and slender. Flies have a head that can move with the eyes and most have large compound eyes on the left and right sides of the head. For directional control, they use neurons that are sensitive to movement. And this animal also has antennae with various shapes, usually the antennae are short, it is to reduce the burden when flying.

The uniqueness of this species is that it has no teeth or other tools to allow them to eat solid food. They usually consume liquid food or small granules, such as pollen and others.

Flies are animals that often coexist with humans and are even considered quite disturbing for human life. These animals often land on food so that the food is considered dirty. And also this animal can cause several diseases for human health. The diseases caused by it include diarrhea, dysentery, typhoid and even some of its species can cause myiasis.

But behind these negative things flies also have benefits that can help human life. This is because they will be used to find out how long the human body has been dead.

That's a glimpse of this insect. Hope it's useful and you like it. Thank you very much for everything. See you in the next post. Greetings from me to all of you.
