A fruit that is widely used as a spice for cooking and its benefits. Capsicum frutescens

Hi everyone, especially those of you in this community. How are you all doing? I'm sure you're all well and healthy. I am very happy to be in this community. On this occasion I would like to share about fruits and plants of the genus Capsicum. This fruit is very rich in benefits and is used as a seasoning. In my area this fruit is called Chili Pepper.

This plant or fruit has the scientific name Capsicum frutescens. This Cayenne Pepper fruit is the harvest of my mother's plantation. There are several types spread in my area, namely green cayenne pepper or red cayenne pepper and white cayenne pepper. And in the picture is a type of white cayenne pepper.

In my area and even in Southeast Asia, this fruit is often used as a spice. Although smaller in size than other chili varieties, it is considered quite spicy as its pungency reaches 50,000-100,000 on the Scoville scale. Its moisture content is low so it can be stored for up to 12 days after picking.

Despite its spicy flavor, it also has great health benefits. This benefit comes from the nutritional content in it. The nutritional contents include Calories, Carbohydrates, Fat, Fiber, Protein, Riboflavin, Potassium, Manganese, Vitamins A, C, E, K, B6 and others.

Because of the nutritional content or nutrients, this fruit is very good for the body's metabolism, for the digestive system, reduces appetite and feels full longer, lowers blood pressure, has the potential to cure psoriasis autoimmune disease, reduces the risk of cancer, relieves pain if applied to painful areas of the body, maintains a healthy weight and is still good for others.

That's a glimpse of the fruit that is often used as a spice and its benefits. Hope it's useful and you like it. Thank you very much for everything. See you in the next post. Greetings from me to all of you.
