Weekend at the Corniche de Harhoura, Morocco

Today I want to show you the Corniche de Harhoura, a rocky beach with a litlle enclave 10km south of Rabat. You take the first exit on the highway to Casablanca. There is plenty of parking there and a great beach restaurant with a view over the ocean.

We decided to take the opportunity to rent a beach apartment for the weekend at really competitive prices. The landlord was really forthcoming and we were also allowed to use the garden to sit and play. We would normally take every chance we can get to bbq, but… it is Ramadan and everyone is fasting.

It is really quiet here and there are basically only locals walking along the promenade enjoying the tranquility and other than the odd fisherman, there is noone else around. In peak summer, this place is crowded and all accommodation is booked out at astronomical prices.

I didn’t get a chance to take snapshots of the beautiful sunset on Saturday evening, but here are some pics of our walk with the kids yesterday afternoon.

We had a nice and relaxing time. The boys had fun, too :)
