#WednesdayWalk To Reculver Sunflowers At Sunset.

Hello walkers of Hive!

On another social media platform that we do not speak of, I saw a post about a huge sunflower field just outside of London in east Kent.

I waited for a day when the weather would suit flying and headed done there for sunset.

As I arrived, the sun was already very low so I took some ground shots as I walked to foreshore to take off.

After the sun disappeared, there was a nice reflection on the sands at low tide.

Reculver Towers are all that remains of a large Roman fort. Along with 'The Gateway To Britain' to the south near Sandwich, the two strongholds were used to defend the respective estuaries of what was once a wide river.

Walking a little further south, the sunflower field was huge even from the aerial perspective! It has a footpath around three sides which means I was able to easily keep line of sight.

Despite the sun fading, I am quite happy at the results the little sensor was able to provide.

As light was limited, I tried a moving shot coupled with a long shutter speed. I haven't really experimented a lot with this effect- it works really well with moving vehicles.

I wonder if they wait in anticipation for a new day of sunlight?

Walking back towards the towers to leave and I noticed someone else flying so I made sure to say hi, we connected over the usual conversations and left with a new follower!

The moon was in a great position so I manoeuvred the drone to catch the reflection in the ditch water to the left.

Until the next time!
