PhotoFeed Contest - Landscape - Changing Climate At The Mount.
Hey everyone!
Back to one of my favourite places to sit and admire with some fish and chips (occasionally).
The sun was beaming on the first night that I arrived. From past experience, I knew that any clear day in Cornwall must be taken advantage of as you never know what the weather conditions will be on a given day, regardless of what the weather apps say!
St Michael's Mount always looks majestic. I tried to grab some different angles to what I have captured before to appreciate the castle in its full grandeur.
What a difference a day makes! The following day was overcast but still humid.
The tide was around shin / ankle height so it almost looks like people are standing on the water as the causeway became more exposed with the tide retreating.
This visit was a little different as I saw a group of people were practicing Gig Rowing in the bay. The sound of the oars slicing through the water filled the air, it was almost loud enough to be mistaken for a larger boat!
I made sure to stay a respectable distance away just in case.
Cornish Gig boats have a rich history- once serving as lifeboats since the 17th century, to this day these traditional boats are hand crafted from Elm wood and are now (very competitivley!) raced.
Once a year, major towns in the county host a regatta where top rowing talent competes for the title of champion.
I hope to one day capture the racing from the air.
Take care everyone, until the next time!

wow! amazing shots! super cool spot with a castle in an island and a walking bridge covered by the tide, very unique.
It really is amazing - the castle has been owned by the same family for centuries and a nationwide trust helps with maintenance.
the place is stunning. What a nice view you got there,
My friend, this post doesn't have the reward it deserves. What exceptional photos. Do the following: publish it in Spanish every seven days. Also, if there's something misspelled, I'll help you correct it to nominate it for Curie. I can vote every seven days, and in the meantime, you've published two posts after the last one in which I voted for you.
Wow, thank you so much! Yes, I have added the translation to this post :)
