PhotoFeed Contest - Cityscape - Summer Sun At Tower Bridge.
Hi everyone!
The algorithm on another social media platform that shall not be named showed me an advert about 'The Herds' - a puppet led movement bringing exposure to climate disaster - currently touring from Africa, Europe towards the Arctic. London was a stop along the way, the procession assembled outside City Hall and was due to cross Tower Bridge.
Timings were not published anywhere so I was prepared to capture them crossing the river an hour and a half before. I found out later in the day that unfortunately, they crossed even earlier than that before any traffic so instead I took numerous creative shots of the bridge with new angles (for me) instead.
I noticed in this shot I took early on, the shadow was angled slightly so I waited a while until the shadow was exactly perpendicular to the bridge and kept snapping. I mixed things up turning the gimbal to vertical then in post created some trippy vertoramas
This old building next to Butlers Wharf is dated 1895 and is on the south side that makes for a great subject too. I love all the period features that have been preserved.
