Hive has become a vast learning environment for me. Each day, I learn something new. The more I engage with people from different communities, the more I gain insights from them that are helpful not only with my stay here on hive but also for my personal growth as I learned from the experiences of others.

The communities here also inspired me to discover new interests like photography. I become interested in macro photography since I only have a phone with me. I don't have a high-end camera. I was also inspired by @jijisaurart. She took really good macro shots.

I am sharing with you my first attempt at macro photography. I was thinking of a certain subject for photography but since it is my first time, I just tried insects and plants that are found in my garden. I practice the right angles so I can take good shots.

The Black Ants

I have been watching these black ants inside and outside the house. There are just too many of them in my place. I wanted to take macro shots of them but so far this has been the best shot since they are very much in action.

This red flower is such a unique one. It just blooms like that. It does not open like the other flowers. The black ant is just at the perfect time as I took this shot.

The Budding Leaves

This plant has lost most of its leaves because of the very hot weather recently but now that it has rained more frequently, the leaf buds are starting to grow. Leaf buds saying hello sunshine!

I do not know what is the name of the plant. The bud looks beautiful but sharp.

The Blue Fly

When a heard the word fly, what comes first to my mind is the housefly which is disgusting to me. But this fly is too pretty. It has a bigger size than the usual housefly and it has a shiny blue color. It has a hairy body and big round eyes. Taking a very close shot of this organism makes me appreciate its beauty. I never thought they are this beautiful. I just normally shoo them away. I was glad it did not fly away as I came closer to it.

I was having fun taking photos of these beautiful creations. I do not know the technicalities of photography but we can always learn by doing and learning from professionals as they share their skills and masterpieces.
