Winter in the park and city is a bit like real winter. I grew up in the country, and my childhood was real winter: mountains of snow, cold, and snow. It was a three-month-long winter.

Just as a sailor at sea doesn't see dry land for long, even three months, in winter, I saw only snow and no patch of earth(in my childhood).

The combination of winter and park is not to be missed, and it's not...

Children are everywhere, attracted by the pleasure of sledding, some so young that it's happening for the first time.

They weren't that small, but there hasn't been a winter like this in recent years.

Now is an intense and concentrated winter that will last only a week. Temperatures this week range from minus 20 degrees Celsius to plus 16 degrees Celsius, which is the death of winter.

The snow gathered everyone in the park, children with or without sleds...

And dogs, all with companions...

Old people, some unaccompanied!

There are also birds in the park, specifically the tiny lake in the middle of the park. The water has frozen and formed an island where the water birds sit, waiting for something to eat.

I tried to convert some color photos to black and white, and I thought the white snowy background would make it easier, but it didn't. The too-bright white was a complex problem, and I don't think I solved it.
