Walk On A Lazy Afternoon

Far too hectic city life makes me forget why I'm walking even when I walk. I forget to relax, and relaxing is what a walk is about, especially in the park.

On this walk, I ended up in the Circus Park. This is a small park but it has a lot to offer and that makes it my favorite.

Colors and shades

A small pond where wildlife pulsates and the greatest treasure still lies underwater. I'm thinking of the lotuses, this is the only place in Bucharest where I can admire them in the summer months.

I come here once a month and because I want to photograph as much as possible I forget, as I said in the beginning, to relax.

I thought I'd see if other people were walking around and relaxing.

I've seen that people are preoccupied with something and although they seem to relax, they don't.

It would seem that the culprit of this state is a small object that has crept into our lives. The smartphone!

I see four ladies sitting on the benches and only one is not looking at her phone.

Even when we can't see the phone, it's present, in the unseen part of the photo.

I have to get used to the fact that my walks have a purpose... and that's not relaxation. The purpose is photography and I enjoy it. Besides, and last but not least, it fills me with beauty. The beauty of nature, especially now in spring.

Apart from the beauty, I saw something else on this walk. I saw that the birds knew how to relax on a lazy afternoon to themselves.

I've never seen pigeons asleep in the grass and impassive as humans walk so close to them.

It was a short but learning walk in Circus Park.

I love this meadow...

This whole story might not interest anyone but I hope you find something interesting in the photos. Because, after all, are what it's all about.

Make a point of looking around and up and see what you can find to get shots of that otherwise you may miss.
