This spring in a hurry and not so much

Sometimes I stop to rest and try to understand where our time is running, where this world is running. What's the rush? Again a cheap weekend philosophy, when laziness lets my thoughts run wild... It's a weekend in April. April already? More than a quarter of this year has passed and I'm still puzzling over when winter ended, when spring began? I can no longer be sure of the boundary between the seasons. At my home, in Bucharest, Romania, the trees have blossomed, the flowers in the parks and in the yard have blossomed too.

At my brother's house, just 400 km north, winter came back and covered spring.

Romania is a small country and I never imagined that there would be such a difference in weather between different regions. To have to wonder whether it is winter or spring or, which is more now, spring or winter?

It's both spring and winter, that's the truest answer. In the northern half of the country it is winter but in the south, where Bucharest is, where my house is, it is definitely spring. The flowers in my yard believe this and want to convey this belief to everyone. Look!

...but, obviously, it loves the sun more!

All last week it snowed in the north of Romania. In the south it only rained. It was cold. It has been a stay indoors weather. That was the only "luck" of the Covid infection misfortune again!

On this Sunday the sun came out again! I also got rid of the Covid, and took my first walk after more than a week in the house. A sublime Sunday for sure!

Now I understand why @c0ff33a invites us to write about #SublimeSunday. Because sometimes there are such days. Fortunately!

After I get over an unpleasantness, an upset or an illness I have a hunger to do as many things as I can to feel like I am alive again. The same today. I have resumed my weekly walks in the old city center.

I had coffee at my favorite café.

I walked again through the park near the house to admire one of the flowering trees, a Chinese apple tree.

At home we cooked fish in the oven. A fish called Lufar, which I used to find only in the Black Sea, on my travels to the sea.

Now I found it at a supermarket. Frozen. That's the price as between me and the sea is about 300 km. It was very tasty!

Beyond anything, this spring is a beautiful and sublime season, as my little garden, in fact the plants in it, keep trying to convince me.

I think spring is the season that convinces me that "Life is beautiful", if only because it is a harbinger of summer!
