The King Of Flowers

May is known to be the month of roses. I mean those who live in a four-season climate know this. May is the middle of spring and is the month when roses bloom.

The rose is one of the most famous flowers in the world, it is nicknamed "the king of flowers".

More than that. The rose is the symbol of England and is also the floral emblem of the United States!

In my small yard, I try to grow as many roses as possible. This is hard to do because roses need space around them. To ensure this I have to work constantly, changing the place of the flowers when a rose grows too big and has no more room.

It's easy to understand my desire to photograph these flowers now, at first bloom. First of all, because it is a long-awaited bloom, it is a profuse bloom and one that will not be repeated soon. Roses are some of the most photographed flowers in the world...

I took the photos with a Canon EOS1300D. In the above photos, I used an EFS 18-55mm lens. I think both the camera and lens did their best to help me with the quality of the photos. I don't know if I managed to contribute anything...

For the following photos, I used a 50mm lens. I had some difficulty with it and I don't know if it is defective or I don't know how to use it. It remains to go to the "doctor" with it.

However, it seems to me that these photos are better than the first ones.

I have a small yard where I have gathered a few roses. I thought I'd take advantage of the fact that they're starting to bloom and take some photos.

The idea I've come up with now is to show photos of only one rose per post, so I don't mix species or colors.

Since I mentioned color, it's good to know that roses can be any color except black. As for species, there are more than a hundred and thousands of different varieties.
