Cherchez la Femme!
I sometimes like to use a title that has nothing to do with the topic of a post. I know it's not appropriate, but I know someone interested in what the title announces will be disappointed and upset.
I have to tell the truth now. The title is always related to the story but, sometimes, it is more strange and mysterious, and eventually, the connection will be seen.
This is my entry for the #monomad challenge.
Cherchez la femme!
It's a saying in French and it is used that way without being translated. It means "look for the woman" and it means that whenever there is a confusing situation when something happens that needs to be investigated in order to discover the truth, you first need the woman who is involved in that story. It's not a discrimination... It's just an observation from ancient times, for example, the writer Juvenal, from the 1st century AD, said: "There is no dispute whose cause is not a woman". Then, in all detective books or detective films, detectives or policemen would first look for the motive of a certain action of the suspects, usually men, who almost always turned out to be... a woman. So look for the woman and you'll find the motive!
In my story, the "woman" is a bird.
Look for the bird!
The bird is a seagull. In the photo suite... the first is of a seagull flying over the sea, seemingly looking for something, something we can't see. To see what's next, we have to follow the seagull.
Women appear. Can't do without them. We always have to have someone to look for.
I guess I should have stayed at "Cherchez la Femme!"
Because it proves once again that this is how we discover the truth faster, we discover the reason why seagulls fly desperately past the ferry.
The reason is temptation. Women are best at using temptation. This time the temptation is... the food!
Cherchez la Femme... Look for the bird!
The seagull's motivation was food, but what was the ladies' motivation?
Fun, of course, but also a sincere desire to feed those birds, and...
...there's something else. This is the end of the holiday, the parting from the island. The desire to forget...
For me, it's easier to choose color or black and white. When I shoot in older places, places that remind me of the past, memories, and nostalgia, I like to change the photos to monochrome, especially black and white!
I am also not discriminating but this French quote is applicable everywhere. Although it's ancient but it's truth.
By the way amazing clicks. Loved these seagulls.
Thank you! We don't discriminate and I don't think women get upset about it.

Istanbul's seagulls are also motivated by chasing a ferry from Europaen side to Asian or vice versa :)
"Look for the woman" hmmm! Sounds interesting...I agree with you that this phrase is not a discrimination because if anything happens you have to look for the other person that is involved to know the full truth
I had like to drop something funny😊
In this picture, if you look for the bird, you will definitely find the woman😄

The beauty of the images when they are converted to black and white is greatly enhanced the way we see that it is a beautiful place and the birds look so much more beautiful.
I try, I try, but I'm still not satisfied with the result. Thanks for your opinion!
