About Those Who Walk
Wednesday for a walk, the day chosen by Jay. It's Wednesday again. However, I think we all walk every day of the week. Walking is the simplest thing to do, often we don't even realise we're walking... we think we're going to buy bread, or milk, or wine... or the newspaper... that was many years ago. Now, almost no one reads the newspaper anymore. I don't read the newspaper anymore either, although I miss it.
But let's get back to Wednesday's walk.
I really like this challenge, which asks us to go for a walk and take a few pictures of things we liked or that especially caught our attention.
I like that it's about photography, I like that it's about movement, two of my passions.
When we walk, our gaze is drawn mainly to the landscape, architecture, nature, and less to our fellow walkers.
I am now thinking of showing some photos from my trips to the seaside, to Balchik, Bulgaria, in September this year.

This is the main place for walking in Balchik, a promenade several kilometres long on the seashore.

There are many attractions along the promenade: hotels, restaurants, terraces, cafes, and shops. I ignore them and declare that I sought to capture primarily those who were walking.

Obviously, not everyone is walking around; a few are still lying on the beach, soaking up the last rays of autumn sunshine.

We, that is, my wife and I, have walked down this path hundreds of times without ever getting bored. What's more, I can't wait for spring to come so we can go there again.

Of course, the sea was there, and even if we weren't looking at it all the time, we always felt it, at every moment.

The promenade is long, and we had to rest from time to time. During those breaks, I tried to photograph, as discreetly as possible, those who kept walking.

Family scenes are the most interesting, especially when taken without the protagonists noticing.

Finally, I am including a photo of a building that I really like and that also has connections to my country, Romania.

It is a building constructed a hundred years ago and was the vacation home of a family of Romanian artists, Cecilia and Frederick Stork. She was a painter and he was a sculptor. They built it in 1930 and lost it in the 1940s when it was requisitioned by the Bulgarian state. It was abandoned and uninhabited, but last year renovation work began, and it will probably be converted into a hotel.

I always start with photos when I write a blog post. Photos remind me of places, events, and feelings that turn into words.
A wise saying goes that an image is worth a thousand words.
Everything depends on the beholder.
Make a point of looking around and up to see what you can find to get shots of that; otherwise, you may miss it.
This is one of the recommendations made by @tattoodjay for those who prefer walking and are used to sharing impressions and photos in his community, Wednesday Walk, every Wednesday, like this one today.

I know how much you love the sea, I also love the sea and I know how it feels! What a wonderful walk... you know what I was looking at? The shadows, the shadows of the people, they caught my attention and the little girl with the little dog!!!! Thank you for this walk and may it already be spring!
Your view on walking is just refreshing! It is a fact that we often ignore the basic pleasure of moving around in our hectic lives.
