Greetings!

How's my peeps holding up? I've been unplugging more often lately- my soul needed it more than I could imagine. So yeah, nothing much inspirational and witty to write about, but thank goodness, some of these Prickly Pears know what's up. I am joining @friendlymoose's POBphotocontest this week with the theme "Yellow".

I do wander around along the beach a lot, and one thing that the beaches here has to offer aside from surfing, good food, good view and good people, there are a bunch of prickly pears just around the corner. I took these at one of the resorts here in San Juan, La Union (The Clean Beach) when I was with my daughter for a weekend beach sunset walk. I see them often but at that time, they were showing off a bunch of their flowers. I just thought they were friggin' lovely. Just have to be careful the fact that it has lots of huge thorns too. They grow as high as 6 feet and the flowers grow as big as 3-4 inches in diameter. Something like that. I know some varieties bear flowers in different colors such as pink, red, white. I rarely see those here. We have YELLOW.
