Motivate someone

A pleasant Thursday, amazing people!

I believe that in life there is a certain balance to things: good and evil, right and wrong, good deeds and bad deeds. I am a Christian (Catholic by faith), and I know a couple of my close friends will have a lot to say about this. I see them say it all the time, but I am what I am, so in this belief of karma and balance combined with my Christian beliefs, I do feel that God is the one who keeps that balance.

I know myself and I know what I do. I do not do things for friends nor strangers so that I can get something in return. I do what I do because I believe in doing the right thing. If a friend needs help and you can help, then do it. If a stranger needs help and it is within your means, then do it (within reason). I'm not going to start bringing homeless people into my home or hand out money every time I see a hand stretched out. I will, however, listen, encourage, advise or motivate someone to be the best that they can be.

I had a friend who has taken that generosity of heart and stepped on it repeatedly. I will not retaliate. I will let God handle it. I will pity them in my heart knowing that I have always been there for them, and for this, they will have their own day come in God's good time where karma bites them in the butt. It is not my personality to bring bad to someone. I will forgive them in my heart because it is the right thing to do. I just hope that they can see that they have made not only a huge mistake betraying my friendship or kindness, but have also betrayed the "balance of right and wrong" and now the scale is just a bit more in my favor.

They have not hurt me, they have empowered me and hurt themselves. Reacting in anger is an easy thing and the weak person's way.
