IS IT CAKE??? - i mean... IS IT AI???
Ok. ok, so i know actually its pretty easy to tell which is which... but still. BEAUTIFUL images coming from midjourney right!! super helpful to me.
As an amatur photographer, (ok so i take photos of pretty sunsets...) I love capturing the perfect shot. But I recently found out that adding these photos as prompts to midjourney created some pretty slick art works.
I took some of my stunning sunset photos and used them as references in Midjourney, adding basic text prompts to enhance the final result. Sometimes these prompts were, well a bit shit, lol... The first image in my series features a sunset over a row of silhouette trees, with a blue sky at the top and a golden sun at the bottom.
Above is my ORIGINAL PHOTO. I like it, but wanted to play around with some additional options for the painting.
Midjourney handles landscapes really well. The program seems to understand the depth and complexity of natural scenes, and can create stunning images that are both true to life and artistic. I guess as a computer program it has the "image of beauty and what people accept" and works off that formula. It works.
anyway these are a couple of the images i got back
I experimented with other prompts, such as sunset over a city or beach, and found that Midjourney was able to handle these scenes just as well. Each image was unique and beautiful in its own way, with the AI adding its own artistic flair to the original photo. Definitly helping me in my artistic creative process for sure..
I can use these as reference images as i paint... i'm so excited...
even these simple prompts " a beautiful Australian sunset with a silhouette tree in the foreground" was enough to get fantastic results.
"photograph, Australian sunset" was pretty good too
" a beautiful Australian sunset with a silhouette tree in the foreground, a silhouette man is walking pas the tree," was also good
even if it just lets me know WHERE to go back and photograph..
It's the perfect tool for photographers like me who love nature and want to create beautiful, photorealistic images and then take the wrong ones and need a refreshing idea to paint... lol
Here are both photos side by side with the prompt i also used
"insert photo link here.. sunset over trees, blue sky at top and golden sun at bottom, photorealistic, 4k"
Not bad really... no tweaking at all
