'Peonies from the Garden'

Greetings Dear Readers;
.
Hope you are well and enjoying fine weather today.
How about this Principle;
..'One cannot react and resolve any problem in life.'
...so true...right. We can learn it the easy way or the hard way. The easy way comes by understanding the benefit of objective thinking and reasoning. The hard way through reaction results in becoming irrational whilst a sense of frustration sets in.
There is a tendency today to use the word 'react' or 'reaction' in media of all kinds...ie: "What is your reaction?"...they will inquire. or they will say 'so and so' reacted by saying 'such and such'. Are they using the word 'react' when the appropriate word would be 'response', 'responded'.....perhaps so.
Let's have a look at the definition of the word 'React'. 1. to exert a reciprocal or counteracting force or influence often used with on or upon 2. to change in response to a stimulus 3. to act in opposition to a force or influence —usually used with against...4.to move or tend in a reverse direction...
And now the word 'Response'.: 1.to say something in return : make an answer...
These definitions are from the Merriam-Webster dictionary.
There is a subtle difference, 'React' implies a negative, subjective connotation whilst the word 'Response' is objective and implies neither positive or negative implications.
Let's give this Principle a think...shall we.
Wishing you and yours the very best....God's best!
.
"For God loved the world so much that he gave his uniquely born Son (Jesus Christ) so that anyone who believes in him shall not perish, but have eternal life."...from John 3.16
It is faith alone in Christ alone for salvation.

Thank you for dropping by. ^__^

Hi @bleujay! Your explanations about the small but important differences between 'react' and 'respond' are very enlightening!
The white-yellow roses look so bright, fresh and soft a the same time, what a joy to watch them ... as well as your wonderful painting!
Greetings @gen-quimba ,
What a lovely comment....yes...so happy to hear your thoughts.
Thank you for your kind words with regard to the photographs and painting....appreciate it.

Hmm, the principle gets me thinking. You can't always solve a problem just by reacting quickly. Sometimes, when something goes wrong, we feel the urge to act fast, maybe out of anger, fear, or frustration. But reacting without thinking can make things worse.
What a beautiful display of nature. The flowers are lovely to behold.
Greetings @toluwanispecial ,
Well said....so true with regard to the Principle.
Happy to hear your kind words regarding the 'Icing'.
Kind Regards, Bleujay
Peonies are looking wonderful!
And I agree with the react/response statement, it is all perceived differently upon those very slight of word differences !
I tend to think we can't change a lot in life, if things are meant to happen a certain way there is nothing I can do or could have done to change the outcome, that is just how life was meant to be!
Take care my friend, best wishes!

Greetings @dubble ,
Appreciate you dropping by.
It's true....those slight word differences that slant the perspective can really trip us up through a quietly emotive term in order to side step thinking.
You are correct....we learn how to be flexible and safeguard our values...we can only change ourselves.
Kind Regards to you and the Cats,
Bleujay

Haha I just spent some time replying to a @galenkp post on almost the exact same thing! It was along the lines of responding vs reacting as something the wise do as reacting often results in problems.
The wise control their impulses and avoid hastily reacting. I sometimes feel like an Ent from lord of the rings thinking hobbits, er people, are too hasty with their responses.
Here’s to using our intellect and experience to respond rather than react!
I love my peonies too.
Greetings @zekepickleman ,
Well said! I appreciate your expounding on the subject. We could use a bit of reminding from time to time...and dialoguing over it assists in seeing it from different perspectives....thank you!
What a lovely photograph of these lovelies...simply stunning!
Kind Regards,
Bleujay
Excellent clarification between the terms "React" and "Response" so we know when we can use both. Greetings and excellent start to the day. Also, those flowers (peonies) are very pretty.
Greetings @hjrrodriguez ,

Thank you so much @jlinaresp ....very kind of you.
That principle is so true, you can't solve everything, you can only do your best to react and resolve some problems and that's something we should keep in mind as sometimes we get smashed because we can't fix everything
Enjoy your weekend and great flower composition

This is such a timely read for me. I’ve been struggling with reacting too fast lately, and your insight helped me see things in a new light.
Beautiful peonies. Don't they smell divine?
Love your painting too. As always, it captures the essence of the flower so nicely.
It is always good if you can keep from reacting instantly when surprised with unplanned and unforeseen situations and instead take some time to think it over before responding. It certainly keeps you from having to go back and correct things if your reaction didn't turn out too well. 😄
