Greetings Dear Reader;

.
Hope you are well and enjoying a very fine day.
.
How about this Principle...this Timeless Truth....'You cannot build your happiness on someone else's unhappiness.'

Let's give it a look, shall we...

Perhaps those who practice this form of retribution are not aware that they are trying to derive positive stimulation from small acts of revenge but they never will, ...perhaps a momentary feeling of empty gratification but not what they were after.

Illustrations of this principle abound....perhaps you will write about an example that comes to your mind in the comment section.

'The Eagles' wrote a song titled...'Get Over It'.....which seems quite apt for this Timeless Truth whether one is the perpetrator or the recipient.

Appreciate you dropping by today. ^__^

Here's wishing you and yours all the best...especially God's best!
.

...For God loved the world so much that He sent His uniquely born Son (Jesus Christ) so that anyone who believes on Him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3.16

It is faith alone in Christ alone for salvation.

.
Kind Regards,

Bleujay

.
.

Principles are timeless truths as relevant today as they were yesterday and will be tomorrow.

.
All for our ponderance.

Who can be happy knowing that they do so at the expense of other people? One definitely has to know how to choose the moments and not harm anyone in the process.

Some people are comfortable in their own unhappiness, ever the victim of everything about life.

There are certainly things in life that are worth being unhappy about for a very short, temporary time, but mourning things you have no control over should have a limited time engagement. It is up to you (all of us) to pursue the things that build us up and make us happy. Being around someone who refuses to ever see that for too long, is a total drag. LOL!

I enjoyed your photos. The third one has an elegant vibration about it.

Your art, as always, so very nice to look at.

This time you present a really amazing flower, @bleujay: this Christmas Lily combines the colors white, yellow and even green which I think is very rare!
Your painting is also great - I think it's very difficult and requires quite some skills to paint so detailed with watercolours!

Your post is timely for me, dear @bleujay 🙏 🪷 Thank you....

I feel that this principle illustrates well one of the core dynamics of our constructed cult-ure; e.g. it is at the root of competitive economics, though most people only see the immediate strata of those-with-less-than, below them (when that is merely the tip of the iceberg).

I've worked hard to not project any gladness onto another, whilst still labouring on the subtle levels, where a certain very hidden 'satisfaction' bubbles, over someone (or the collective) 'getting their medicine' when they have a karmic return, having done something dark against myself (or others)...

But as you say, that empty feeling is not good, and it can accumulate, getting into our 'fixed' character, and tainting even the best intentions.

I'm glad of this reminder, on the final day living in our house and town, where my experiences have been super-challenging 💝💖 The growth is always an immense Blessing to be grateful for, and I am actively letting go of any residual regret/ meanness/ resentment of things done against me ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

Happy Sunday to you 🤗💝

Greetings Dear @clareartista ,

What a lovely response to the Principle...So true.....thank you.

Staying objective ...letting no root of bitterness take hold of us is best...

My thoughts are with you in your life's journey that you are so kind to share with us here at Hive. Wishing you well in your new home.

This came to mind upon seeing your new abode....

'The monotony and solitude of a quiet life stimulates the creative mind.' -Albert Einstein

How true is that?

Insecurity can breed unhappiness and hoping others lose down to your level surely is a defeatest game. If you are not surrounding yourself with people you want to win, and who want you to win, then that can't be the ticket to happiness either.

Now, there are a few people who might make me entertained at their unhappiness but that is fleeting.

Build your happiness from within as a choice and find extra in the success of others I say.

Yes, @bleujay, what we are aiming for must be at least in some harmony with the material point of reference, as in the case of the harmony of the green of the limes and the green of the foliage of these beautiful lilies, as well as the harmony of the snow-white petals and the white drapery :)
As always, your beautiful watercolor is bold and courageous!

Greetings @barski ,

What a lovely thought-full reply.

'Harmony' is a word very integral to Bleujay's modus operandi ...thank you for reminding me of it and using it in reference to the post.

Your complimentary words for the painting are much appreciated.

I think people are aware, some people in their eagerness to have what they want, do not worry about the collateral damage they may generate, many people act this way out of arrogance, others out of envy, they only care about themselves and nothing else, and over time, happiness crumbles like a house of cards, this is when KARMA acts.

Greetings @lupega ,

How very kind of you to drop by with your thoughtful comment.

I like to attribute fairness to Someone far greater than 'karma'

(Karma is an ancient Indian concept that refers to an action, work, or deed, and its effect or consequences. In Indian religions, the term more specifically refers to a principle of cause and effect.)....quoted from Wikipedia.
