Espero poder volver a verlo pronto.

Saludos.

Some call it the ghost town, and one can find legends with stories of the past, when the town had life.

The truth is that Epecuén, was a town with a nice beach, and a lot of tourist activity, but one day, in 1985, a big rain caused a flood, which submerged the whole town. The inhabitants had to leave the place, and settled in the nearby town.

After 10 years! The water receded, and the town reappeared. Only one of its inhabitants returned, and to this day he is still living again in the place where he was born. His name is Pablo Novak and he is 93 years old! I was lucky enough to meet him in Carhué, the town that houses the former inhabitants of Epecuén. He was shopping, and we arranged to take some pictures of him, but then we couldn't. But it was very nice to be able to talk to him. He is a very humble person with many stories to tell. I hope to see him again soon.

Today Epecuén is still visited, mostly by photographers, but the attraction is not the beaches in the summer, but the ruins, where you can appreciate the damage caused by the water and the passage of time, the flamingos (the second largest colony in South America), and the water of the lagoon, which is almost as salty as the water of the Dead Sea, and people take advantage of its healing properties.

I share with you some pictures, and I hope you like them and want to know the place. Greetings.

Great pictures, just by looking at them you can perceive the desolation and the vestiges of what could have been that place before.
