This post is a little different than my usual precious metals posts I'm not sharing a new edition to the collection or building up the stack, this time around it's a precious metals verifier from sigma metalytics. I got the original model with 3 wand attachments but more on that a bit later.

The unit come with a carrying case, a calibration round and 3 wand attachments.

The unit has a built in battery and can be used on its own with the built in sensor but it only works for medium sized bars ,coins and rounds, if the metal is too small or to big you can plug in one of the 3 wand attachments, it comes with a small wand, a medium one and a bullion wand for bigger speciments. The calibration round that comes with the unit can also be used with very thin specimens to help get a better reading.

The unit will not tell you what metal you put on it you have to select a category like 80% silver and then place your speciments on the unit or use the wand attachments for small speciments like I did in the picture below.
And if the speciments conductivity properties match that off your selected test the black box will fall somewhere between the 2 brackets if it doesn't
The black box will be outside the brackets or if the value is way off there will be no black box and the machine will show an arrow on the side of the screen indicating that the reading is really off the charts.

I'm glad to get this gadget for a bit of peace of mind and also to allow me to better get involved in the precious metals and numismatics business side of things, I hope to eventually get my hands on a portable spectrum analyser to get the exact makeup of metals but those units go for many thousands so for now I will have to settle for this little unit.

In the picture of this post we got a few coins being tested on the unit, they are pretty peculiar coins and are a great use case for my metal verifier but more on that in a post to come.
