It is a migratory species, so this "well-traveled" specimen comes from somewhere in southern Europe and flew here to South Bohemia to reproduce.
According to Wikipedia, the cycle is as follows: The first generation migrates from southern Europe to Central Europe between May and July, where it reproduces; the second generation of adult butterflies then flies west and east across Europe between August and September, where they reproduce again. The new generation of butterflies then flies back to southern Europe. During migration, the butterfly often flies to higher elevations (usually 300–500 m), where it lets itself be carried by air currents and can thus fly at speeds ranging from 80 to 112 km per hour. In this way, it easily covers long distances in a very short time.
