The European honey buzzard (Pernis apivorus) in South Africa

In the savannah, raptors like to perch on bushes or trees with a view, and in Europe you often see buzzards sitting by the roadside on a fence, post or tree, and in winter without leaves it is conspicuous.

Of course they don't like to be photographed. In Africa I take photos from the car window, there is no other way. The first critical moment is when the car stops, that's enough for some birds and more will fly away at the latest when the window is opened. It takes many attempts to get something like this beautiful European honey buzzard from St.Lucia Wetland Nature Reserve on the Indian Ocean coast of South Africa.

Wow, this is a very dashing eagle,Very nice image capture. If it's difficult for me to get an eagle here, because eagles in our area are a little difficult to find.

The eagle is indeed very attractive to everyone. I'm actually very interested in photographing them but I very rarely see them around me. Very amazing shot my brother😊

At my place this bird often targets chicks during the day. Too bad I don't have enough tools to shoot it :)

Most probably not this species. It eats insects mostly bees and wasps.

They must always be on guard, sometimes to avoid being hunted and sometimes to hunt. Maybe that's why man :)
