Everything is already photographed

and probably written, because i am pretty sure i already used this title :)

For few months now i had the feeling of i don't even want to go out to photograph something because it will just be average and blah. Could be the combination of work and crappy winter (mix of cold and warm with no snow and a lot of mud). Could also be that i got to the point where i know who things could look like but also know how much time needs to be spent for things to look like that :)

Canon 5d Classic.jpg

Who knows :) The point is that i thought maybe picking up my Canon 5d Classic will change that. I did enthusiastically started looking for the charger, had a small crisis when it didn't work for some weird reason (it started to work after some fiddling with cables). Checked is the camera still working...

Canon 5d Classic.jpg

Did i go out to take photos? What can i say. One of the batteries almost emptied it self by just sitting in the camera. Yes it is an old battery (Camera is probably close to 19 years old). It was sitting there for at least 2 weeks :)

Canon 5d Classic.jpg

Today i had to go on a short trip to finish something so i took the camera with me. Must admit, i didn't really got into it. But from 14 photos taken, there were at least 2 decent ones.

I was surprised with the texture and color of the train and plates. And i kinda like the Pazi Na Voz! photo, maybe because of the old sign.

Canon 5d Classic.jpg

There is a minimum of editing on these photos. A touch of contrast, brightens and shadows. That is probably the cool thing about Canon 5d Classic. There is something in the colors that the sensor is producing.

Why would a politician advertising for elections put a billboard ad here?

Can't say i am cured, but i did put the battery on the charger. So maybe there will be more photos in the next few days.

In other news, last week this happened

hive.jpg

It feels like i been here from forever and like it was yesterday.

Happy Hive birthday Marko!!! 🥳🥂 I also had mine recently.

I understand you hit the wall with photography but I also hope it goes away soon as we need you back in the game! 😎

I love those metal plates, especially the one with the train. Is the train still in use? Or they just forgot to take the plate down.

I've been planning to take such photos but I don't know if I can find similar plates. The idea is not enough 😄

Thanks.

The red plate is on an old locomotive that just stands there. The other sign that says "watch out for the train" is at the entrance to a train that they transformed into a cafe a long time ago. If you look you could see the bar outside in front of it.
I think it is a part of an old train track used quite a long time ago (i have no recollection of trains going there). It was probably a close track as the river is close and there were some (still standing and mostly falling apart) factories and storage units.
so if you have any type of old train exhibits, you could probably find those kind of plates :)

Perhaps this is the best spot ever for this kind of bilbord! 😂

Happy HB 🎉

I am totally with you in this boat. No new places and people for me, sinking in the same routine and same places, streets... even #streetphotography does not set me on fire recently - cause this shitty tiny light day period, grey skies everyday and melting snow mud. If only I could travel...

!BEER and !PIZZA might be a little solution, haha

PS. congrats with the 6th Hive anniversary 🙏

it feels like i know exactly how the photos will look like even before i take them. One of the examples is my live music photos. love photographing my friends playing, but i know lighting will be crap, i know how the photos will look and feels like i don't know what to reimagine to change it.

Street photography is not great here as i live in a place at the moment max 4k people. Most people on the street seeing me with the camera would probably just come to say hi :)

Mud does not help. If only I could travel... 100%

ha! ha! hahahah!!! uh... I am living at metropolis, I could not imagine that, really not sure if it could be a good thing for a cameraman. but for a common townsman without a camera, thats definitely a good thing we all can only dream of.
as the famous Russian anarchist Kropotkin argued in his studies in the 19th century, 5000 is the maximum size of the urban population, ensuring direct, natural democracy without delegation of power and all other consequent sorts of scam: in this case all people know each other... everything beyond that is off the limits... ehehe.

I understand what you say about dont wanting to get the same pictures as you have been getting and used to. as an artist and creative person, I also want to be getting somewhere else, and when I feel like “I hit my head into the ceiling and cant move forward,” then I stop moving forward until I see a new path - which requires some kind of qualitative growth...

yes street photography is not that great in small town :D

i would probably agree. it could be a bit boring at times, sometimes you get irritated that everyone know everything :) but must admit i do hate the chaos and speed of a metropolis if i spend prolonged time in it. Short time is mostly ok :)

i think i need to kick myself in the ass and move forward with some projects i planed to do (planed for a long time :) )

Congratulations to you on your 6th Hive birthday
Also, taking your camera with you was a nice opinion

Does sound like you have taken a lot of photos, I guess as a photographer you might pay more attention into the surrounding and develop eidetic memory so there is nothing new out there because through years you have probably taken shots of possibly most of the scenario combinations after many 100s of pictures, that could be the grinding too, trying to find something new that keeps you interested and creative, Im sure not an easy task, we humans get bored very fast with repetitive tasks, hope there is something out there that spark the interest again for you ✌️

as an accountant i must say photography is still more interesting :)
I feel it is partially about places and repetition and partially about the stage of knowledge about photography. Easy example is landscape photos. I know how they could look, and everything needed for them to look like that, so sometimes i don't even bother to take them :)

Thanks

It's a good title, I hadn't seen it before so it brought a smile to my face. Speaks to something real about living. Nothing wrong with a bit of recycling, hey? You never know who will get some value from what we choose to do. If the intention's positive, that's what's important. Well! That's what I reckon anyway

I also like the photo of the political billboard coupled with the question. Maybe it's not a technically amazing photograph, but so what? I don't care about that. Or rather, sometime's I do care about that but probably too much for my own good. My answer right now would have to be, well, a politician with no clue of the material conditions of their potential electorate, maybe with something of a shame deficit? But also, I don't really know. Anyway, have a good one

i could have probably taken a much technically better photography of that billboard, but i just snapped a quick one (stopped on a "rest stop" of a road") as it was kinda funny and sad to see that. They should have spent the money on cleaning that thing instead of paying for that ad.

and in the end if we would talk about relevance, that would be the most relevant photo i took that day.

I love your perspective there, the most relevant photo. And absolutely I agree, it's like — what the hell is the point of governing for any other reason than to make sure the economy protects the ecology so the ecology can serve human society?! 🤣

Happy 6 :)

You'll get back your appetite for photography. It may come and go from time to time but it is always there!

Well maybe on the next trip to greece :)

There is a Kobasiciada in few days in a village nearby, that sounds like a good post opportunity :)

What a great coincidence, my friend! I'm also celebrating my Hive Birthday! It is my third one, but it seems like the time flew by! Many things happened since I've joined, but I'm pretty sure that many more are still to come.
By the way, congratulations on your awesome creativity pull out! The Canon 5d Classic really delivers a special hue and ambiance in the palette colors

Cheers! And Happy Hive Birthday!

happy hive birthday :)

There is something in that sensor. it is hard to explain. and it has almost a feeling of film photography (i can only take 84 photos :) )

On the 8th, there is an election here in our country and at that time all the politicians are visible to us. As soon as they win the election, they will not be visible to us at all for five years. This place is very beautiful. There is more happiness.

one thing we learned with internet and we probably lived in a delusion in the past, is that politicians are the same everywhere, and we had an illusion that they are better in other countries :)
