The much anticipated day had finally come. This is the hive ghana tamale meetup. Schedule to kickstart at 10:00am at the bagabaga teacher training college. We had a few hitches which led to the starting of the program at almost 11.

One of which was our tiring effort in order to get some ladies to Grace the occasion. We roamed round the campus met with some few ladies; some were reluctant whiles others promised to come but didnโ€™t show up.

Also one of our organizers @samed10 was almost involved in an accident but my the Grace of Allah he wasnโ€™t hurt and showed up unscathed.

The meeting kickstarted with distribution of hive ghana t-shirts by the organizers. I was called upon to say the opening prayer which I humbly did. The discussion began with a keynote address from our organizer @depressedfuckup who talked a little about the hive blockchain and then made us introduce ourselves.

He then proceeded to talk more about the hive blockchain, stressing very much on the terms centralization and decentralization how the hive blockchain is decentralized.

Many of the newbies did not understand these terms so he took time to explain what these terms were; citing that decentralized means no one has control over the blockchain whiles centralized means a governing body or person controls the blockchain.

He also talked about communities on hive and related them to groups on facebook in order for the newbies to understand more. He also talked about community guidelines and the rules governing each community and stressed on heeding to the underlying rules of each community to avoid been muted by a community.

He also talked about plagiarism and stressed on the need to avoid it at all costs on the blockchain so as to prevent users to be downvoted which can potentially dent a userโ€™s image on the blockchain.

Our organizers gave us refreshments of Yoghurt and meat pie to quench our taste
buds as the discussions kept progressing.

The organizers talked a bit on communities on the hive ecosystem.

They also talked about native tokens and how a user could benefit by posting in a community which had native tokens: he gave an example of Leo finance; a community which had a native token called Leo; a user could obtain Leo tokens if he posted in the Leo finance community and get voted for.

The organizers opened the floor for questions abs any additions any member wanted to make.
All questions brought up were duly addressed and additions on how to create a good post on the hive blockchain was discussed among the members.

The organizers helped the newbies create accounts and the meeting was drawn to a close.

We were given hive books and stickers as our souvenirs for the program .
