simple = amazing

I want to take you on a little photo journey. I don’t have a ticket to the moon, I don’t have a drone, and I don’t even have Photoshop superpowers. What I have is my camera, my eyes, and a few funny things that I saw these days in Serbia. I hope you will laugh a little, maybe think a little, and maybe even answer some of my questions at the end. Because photography is not only about pictures—it is also about conversations. So let’s start!

🍄… a mushroom. Yes, a simple mushroom growing from the ground. Or is it so simple? For me, it looks like something from a science fiction movie. I came close to the ground, almost lying in the dust, and took a picture from below. Suddenly, the mushroom did not look like a small plant anymore. It looked like a flying saucer, a spaceship just landing on Earth, maybe to bring us aliens who want to taste Serbian rakija.

Do you see the same thing? Or do you just see a mushroom? It is funny how one angle can change the whole story. From above it is food, from below it is Star Wars. This is what I love about photography: perspective is everything. Do you also take low‑angle photos sometimes? What is the weirdest object you made look like something else?

🌁... buildings, but not just buildings. I saw them through a window with the blinds half down. The scene had strange colors, a mix of yellow and pink on the facades. It looked a little dreamy, a little sleepy. You know that moment when you wake up, open your eyes just a little, and the world looks softer, like a painting? That is how it felt.

I took the photo because it was not the normal view of the city. It was filtered by the blinds, and suddenly it was not architecture anymore—it was mood.

🐈...let’s talk about cats. Because the internet loves cats, and so do I. On one of my fishing adventures at our pond, I captured this beautiful grey Mr. Cat. He is usually at our place but we do not know if it's really our pet or not, because he likes to hang out at other houses in the neighbourhood as well. Cat business, what can I say. ☺️ He was lying next to water, playing with the few dry leaves that had already fallen from the trees (Yess, the Autumn is comin'). He stretched, he scratched, he looked at me with those eyes that say: “Yes Lady, you can take my photo, but only because I allow it.”

🚙...the car! The next photo is maybe my favorite. I saw an old car on the street, and I thought: is this a Fića, or is this a Beetle? Honestly, I always confuse them. Both are small, round, and very cute. This one was orange, and it was shining in the sun like it had just come from the 1970s to say hello. Even better, it was not just parked—it was alive, driving, rolling, enjoying the road like in old times.

Later that day, I saw more cars like this in different colors. Can you imagine the whole city full of them? It felt like a little retro parade, and it made me smile so much. Do you also love photographing cars? Old ones, new ones, broken ones, shiny ones? They all have character, don’t they?

Now I want to ask you, Photography Lovers 💙

What did you photograph this week? Did something surprise you, like the mushroom surprised me? Did you find beauty in something small, like a leaf or a shadow?Or maybe you saw something funny, like a cat making faces or a car that looked too tiny for its driver?

Until next time > happy shooting! ✓
