Evening walk (:
Hi lovely people! 😊 I thought I'd use this next blog to share a fun idea with you, something that could even turn into a little challenge. But for that, I needed nicer weather than what we have today. Because yep, winter decided to make a comeback over here.
This morning it even snowed a bit. Of course I slept through it, since I'm not exactly an early bird, but I did catch the traces of it later, already melting away. On top of that, it's been raining for two days straight and the wind is pretty strong. That's it for today's weather report, stay tuned because sports news is coming up next. Just kidding… but doesn't this intro totally sound like that. (:
I'll leave you here with a few shots I took about a month ago during an evening walk in my hometown. Whenever I'm back home and my sister is there too, we usually go out with out mom for an evening walk, and with our dog Maza too. We take a nice route, get a bit cold, burn off dinner we ate, and then head back home to have coffee, tea, or hot cocoa with our dad while watching a show or a movie on TV. It's pretty much our little routine almost every night. ❤️
So here are some interesting photos from the train station we always have on our route. Maza already knows it so well that even if you try to switch things up and go a different way, she'll just pull on the leash and lead you back the way she's used to.
I won't go into describing each photo one by one. They're all part of the same little collection, "A railway station in the slightly foggy night". Or maybe it's smoke from people heating their homes, mixed with the one coming from that tall chimney at the nearby brickyard. Either way, it created a great atmosphere, almost like a movie scene.

I've always loved railways. I love trains, the tracks, the sound when a freight train is close to our house and the whole floor shakes like a small earthquake. I also enjoy traveling by train. I used to do it quite often, mostly on the newer ones that look more like trams, while the old trains, with compartments and those nostalgic red seats, have almost completely been replaced.
Do you like trains? How active is the railway system where you live, in your town or across your whole country? Do you maybe know someone who works on the railway, like a train driver, a dispatcher, a station master or a conductor? All of those jobs have always seemed kind of special and fascinating to me.
Since our village is also an important railway hub, a lot of people here work in those kinds of jobs. It used to be even more common before. Over the past couple of decades, things have been a bit run down, but I still like to think it will come back to life and thrive again. Maybe when fuel gets even more expensive, haha. Just kidding. xD
Thank you so much for reading. See you next time for another little chat over some new photos. <3
