Updates on the fruits in my garden

Hello family it's a new week and a new day for everyone of us here.

I will be sharing my story on how I became a gardner.

I learnt about gardening from my grandpa right from a very young age. When I was younger, my grandpa will always take me to the farm and and together we will so some planting, weeding and harvesting. I hated such moments with everything in me because to me, it was so stressful and the insects have never been kind to me. I always come back home with a lot of itching on my skin. I preferred staying at home, looking all good and watching movies.

Going to the farm was one thing I hated so much until i started staying with a relative.

I Noticed they get to buy every single thing they eat. Starting from vegetable to grains and fruit. And this was something that whenever I want to cook , I would go to the backyard, get some vegetables and before you realize it, I'm done cooking. But now I will have to go to the market every single time I want to make a meal and believe me some of those vegetables are bad probable due to the traders having it for a long time, some are not fresh enough and a few times, you won't get what you are looking for.

That was when I understood how blessed I was to have a grandpa who was a gardener. Food was never our problem. We always had something to eat at every point in time. Ranging from fruits to vegetables down to grains and tuber crops.

Instantly I began to appreciate what I had and now I am one. So sad grandpa isn't strong enough to go to the farm with me any longer.

But then the value he has installed in me is something I would hold on to forever and pass it on to my generation.

Now enough of my story. Let's head on to my little crops.

MY BANANAS

This little guy started producing not long ago

While this dude over here is almost ready for harvest

This one over here still have a very long way to go.

MY PINEAPPLES

As you can see, these ones started bearing fruit not so long. From the initials, It was taking these pineapples forever to start bearing fruits. I got so disturbed at some point cause for over a year of planting, I was not seeing any sign of it producing fruits yet. I had to ask what was happening and I was told that, "this is pineapple for you." Finally something positive has happened. I was super excited to see this.

This one is the biggest so far. I noticed the dragon perching on the pineapple and I was so excited by the sight of it. Dragon flies are good predators for insect. By seeing it around, I'm convinced my garden is safe.

MY PAWPAW

They are still small. But then I hope to eat them before travelling.

After celebrating over the dragonfly presence in the garden, I don't know just how to feel about this spider. But I'm sure he meant no harm.

Thanks everyone for reading. I'm proud of what I do. I hope on doing more soon.

Same here, my father would always bring me with him while doing some gardening in my younger years.
