Our beans farm

We woke yesterday so early after the long awaited rain to check on our beans that was planted a month back. On arrival at the farm, we noticed that, the beans plant is covered with so much weed. We had to start taking out the weed immediately.

Mummy wanted getting extra hands to help with taking out the weed but it seems as if everyone is busy with harvest. We were left with no choice than doing it ourselves. After working under the sun for hours, we were able to clear a good portion of the farm.

While taking out the weed, I saw some peanut plants that was harvest early August growing back. I was surprised when I saw it. But then we had to take them out since they were now affecting the beans.

I felt quite bad about it but then there was nothing I could do about it. While taking them out, I saw peanuts on some of them.

I harvest the few that were strong enough for consumption.

Later on, when we were done clearing the beans, we went on to harvest yam tubers. The yams were not that big but since we had no yams at home, we had to harvest them.

There's still a lot of harvesting and clearing to do. We will stop here for today and continue tomorrow
