Scenic Places from around the world
Yesterday in one of my posts @galenkp gave me a hint to the contest he his running at the moment, a contest about scenic places made by an outdoorsman for outdoor loving people. Participating in that contest is a no brainer for me as I have plenty of phots from scenic places from around the world.
He ends his post about the contest with the words:
Design and create your ideal life, don't live it by default; tomorrow isn't promised so be humble and kind - galenkp
That´s exactly why I´m living my life like I do today. It took me and my partner many years to finally live our life like we want to. One reason always was to be able to be outside in nature as much as possible. Here we are, following you will see a selection of places we´ve been to in the past years. Although we´ve spent most of our time in Australia there are other amazing places we´ve been to...
...like Turkey for example.
The Bafa Gölü or Bafa lake is an inland lake on the west coast of Turkey, formed from a former sea arm, the Latmi Gulf and it is absolutely beautiful there.
Or even better the absolute stunning Peninsula of Datca in the south of turkey. I´ve been to turkey before as my girlfriend has turkish roots but never seen such a beautiful place there.
If we´re already near europe lets jump to a place I have visited during covid. Covid forced us to leave australia in 2020 so we went back home to germany. Our hometown got boring after a few weeks so we decided to do a little trip into the Allgäu. I´ve been here before but in winter for snowboarding. In my opinion (I´m no more a winter person) it looks much nicer in summer. :)
Anyway, my all time favourite country when it comes to outdoor activities, scenic views as well as wildlife is and will most likely always be the land down under AUSTRALIA!
I got so many memories, photos and beautiful moments from this great country that I could write a book about it. As I´m not an author lets keep it simple with some breathtaking photos from here.
This is only a little selection of photos on my laptop but it got much more on several hard drives. Hopefully that isn´t the first and only contest :)
The Glasshouse Mountains on the Sunshine Coast
Coolum Beach, Sunshine Coast
Broken Head Beach, Byron Bay Area
A Dam in the middle of nowhere...can´t remember
Carlo Sandblow Dunes in Queensland near Rainbow Beach
Amazing sunset on the Noosa River
Just last year we had the chance to visit a whole new continent and a country that I always wanted to see since we started our journey 10 years ago. South Africa was always on my bucket list but it took me some years to convince my girlfriend to go there. We both immediately fell in love with the country and the people here and we will definitely come back one day.
Game Drive in the Addo Elephantpark
Outeniqua Pass
Lookout from Pearl Rock onto a Mountain Range
Rockpool at Camps Bay, Cape Town
Can´t remember but simply beautiful
I hope you enjoyed these photos and can understand why I love to spend so much time outdoor in the nature. If not, scroll up and look at them again. ;)
Still got plenty of amazing views on my hard drive so I´m hoping for a continuation of this contest.
You hit it out of the park man, thanks for entering.
All those Sunshine coast images man...makes me want to go back; I should call my mate and tell him to get ready for the return of the G-dog. All great photos though, and exactly what I had in mind with this contest.
Awesome, glad you like it. We just had a walk and I´m again speechless about the beauty of this place. Pretty sure I should have been born here and not in bloody germany. something went wrong :(
Let me know when it gets too cold in the south and you feel the urge to come up :)
It's a beautiful spot man, there is no doubt...although I've been to Germany and I can say the same about it. (Well, Austria is better I guess, but you know what I mean.)
That photo of Coolum Beach you have...I wen to a wedding at the exact spot hidden by that grass in the middle of shot...Good wedding and reception, but...bloody sand drives me bonkers. It rained for a bit right in the middle of the ceremony, but the sun came out and all was well. (It ended up raining on the marriage too: now divorced only several years later.
You're right though, it's a beautiful spot. I hope you get over to Fraser Island, any movement on that front?
Deep in my heart I love germany as well, just can´t live there anymore...at least not at the moment.
One of my favourite shots, it was taken from Point Arkwright Lookout.
Oh man that was a sign. Hope it did not end in an ugly way.
It wasn't pretty, let's just put it that way. It was the daughter of that mate of mine I stay up there with, nice family. The guy she married was a total douche bag though, just one of those people you see and want hit in the face. (Clearly I never liked him).
haha yeah sounds like someone I know...these people have to exist. Hope she found a better one :)
She's single still, but enjoying that which I like. Unfortunately there was a small child involved, but she'd have it no other way. I'm confident it'll work out for her, she's a nice person.
Wow, indeed such beautiful places…
Great captures. Glad you can do what you would like and travel like you do. Keep going!
Enjoy your day 😎
Thank you so much. That was a goal we set almost 10 years ago and finally we can live it.
You are welcome 😊 awesome, hope it may last as long as you want 😎
Have a great weekend!

Great places you have visited! I would also love to visit Australia someday but also New Zealand. I should combine these two trips since these countries are close but I have no idea how to get so much off time from work 😅
Thanks. Yes, that makes sense and was my plan as well once...unfortunately there seems to be a huge misunderstanding with the immigration and new zealand won´t let me in for no reason. Tried it twice already 😂
Amazing photos! Amazing places of this huge wonderful world!
But this! 💙
that's my favorite, along with the Game Drive in the Addo Elephantpark.
Thanks for sharing, cool to see so many great locations in here.
Thank you so much, glad you like it. Yes, Carlo Sandblow dunes are really cool and the game drive in addo was one of the best things we did in the past years.
Sounds amazing, honestly! Great experiences for sure. 😁
Wow great pictures. I am a mountain girl so really liked the mountain pictures, especially that lake in Turkey. Amazing.
The lake and the mountains in the back look amazing...I was really surprised as well. I still need to visit Cappadocia in turkey, must be amazing there.
My brother went to Cappadocia not long ago and it really does amazing!
