CCC's Street Art Contest #170 Drapl, Tewantin, Australia

While I was waiting to pick up a friend from the dentist in a small town called Tewantin on the beautiful Sunshine Coast in Australia I made a really nice discovery. In a small alley I´ve found that amazingly beautiful mural by the artist Drapl. Drapl is a Brisbane based Street Artist who has done stunning murals all over australia including the covering of huge grain silos.

Although it was hard to take a photo of this one I absolutely love that painting. The running colour gis a pretty cool effect here. While running colour is a big problem in winter time or in generally when it is cold outside I´m pretty sure this was done on purpose.

For me, spotting streetart is similar to spotting wildlife. If you´re looking for it you won´t find any but if not they just pop up next to you.

Beautiful work with this style and colors. And your analogy with wildlife is completely true: the best murals are the ones you don't look for. Thanks for sharing these pics on The StreetArt Community.

Enjoy your day

Is true isnt it. Since I´m in Australia I´m looking out for snakes. I´ve seen only two so far and both by chance.
