CCC's Street Art Contest #163 Adnate, Townsville, Australia

After skipping two editions of the CCC´s StreetArt Contest I´m back with another beautiful wall art from my streetart trip in Townsville, Australia.

The following painting is from an australian artist whom I discovered many many years ago in Melbourne, the australian capitol of streetart. The artists name is Adnate and he is part of the famous AWOL crew consisting of five additional members, Deams, Itch, Li-Hill, Lucy Lucy and Slicer.

I´ve seen a few painting from Adnate as well as the whole crew and they were always stunning and this one from 2016 is not different.

Since this paining wraps around the staircase of a building I had to take several photos to get the full piece of art.

Adnate is an Australian artist famous for his hyper-real aerosol works.
This artwork titled, Wulgurukaba and Bindal was developed through cultural consultation to celebrate Townsville's Traditional Owners and Custodians, the Bindal and Wulgurukaba people.
Images used to inform the mural were taken during a smoking ceremony onsite at the project's commencement.

Beautiful work, what a way to beautify the environment this type of paintings made with so much detail and care. Applause for the artist.

exactly...thousand times better than grey walls. A friend just recently finished one in my hometown Stuttgart.

If you just scroll down you can see how he makes cities more colourful
