Cars and Coffee - Sunshine Coast, Australia

avatar

Every one who knows me a bit longer knows that every now and then I publish a post about cars. Simply because I´m an absolute car enthusiast. I love driving, i really like to look and beautiful cars and take photos of them or simply talk about cars.

Since we´re in Australia we´re looking for the right car again as many times before. Little fun fact: I already owned 6 or 7 cars in Australia but not one single car in Germany. :)

Anyway we were about to inspect a beautiful Lexus this morning that I was very likely going to buy but someone was faster and it was gone before I even had a look at it. A little frustrated about that fact in the early morning we went to Coolum Beach a small town further up the coast. Every last saturday of the month there is a car meet up called Cars and Coffee which seems to be some kind of international brand already.

However, there were some super nice cars I want to show you. I was surprised about how many european cars I´ve seen so lets start with them. If there is one thing germans can be proud of its their cars...so lets see what cool looking germans I´ve found.

Ze Germans

The next one really surprised me, a VW Scirocco GTI 1st generation in mint condition. Lovely colour and freaking cool rims. What a cool car!

Bute we germans love our Porsche so here are two more of them. A very old one, not sure about the model. Looks a bit like a speedster but the back says Carrera. The plate probably costs as much as other peoples car.

As nice as the german cars are, there were also some really rare cars. Cars you don´t see every day. Some of them were really old and some of them are not really meant to drive on normal streets. In germany most of them would probably fail the famous TÜV Test simply because they are way to loud. :)

The next one is one of the most iconic cars in my opinion, a Shelby Cobra. This one won´t drive anywhere soon as he blew the radiator. Shit happens

While these three cars already have a few years under their belt there were some way olders cars and bikes to look at. The most fascinating was a bike from 1923, a 100 year old bike that actually still drives and has gaslights. Mindblowing.

Last but not least a few snaps of some muscle cars and a beautiful Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IV. Pretty rare in such a condition, at least in europe and an absolute fun car.

Hope you liked to look at these beauties as much as I did. Will go there regularly now and make a post about it. Hoping that the cars are not always the same. Let me know which one is your favourite in the comments.

I'd love driving a Porsche like that blue one or the Lancer.

Man, you need to visit Cuba :) Cool collection though! I´m not a car enthusiast at all but I can appreciate visually interesting cars and I can tell you I took hundreds of car photos in Cuba :D But ironically, my most popular car photo on ShutterStock is this shot that I took in Beverly Hills, L.A.
