At the cinema with my friend to go see Stray Kids [ESP/ENG]
Hello everyone! How are you? I'm so excited about what happened last weekend! It was a fantastic experience. I'm a huge fan of a K-Pop band called Stray Kids 😍, and since no one else in my family or circle of friends likes them, I decided to officially join the fan club in my country. There, through a WhatsApp group, I met many girls who share this same enthusiasm. So when they officially announced the premiere of The dominATE Experience 😱 😃, we all rushed to book tickets, since the screening was only for two days. But what excited me most was finally meeting some friends I'd only known virtually through the WhatsApp group.
¡Hola Hola, gente de internet! ¿Cómo están? Hoy estoy llena de emoción por lo que viví el fin de semana pasado, una experiencia super fantástica, y es que yo soy fan de una banda de KPop que se llama Stray Kids 😍, y como en mi circulo familiar y amigos no hay nadie más al que le guste la banda, decidí formar parte oficialmente del club de fans de mi país, allí, a través de un grupo de whatsaap conocí virtualmente a muchas chicas que comparten esta misma emoción, así que cuando oficialmente anunciaron el estreno de The dominATE Experience 😱 😃 todas nos apresuramos a reservar los boletos, ya que la proyección sería solo por dos días. Pero además de eso lo que más me entusiasmaba era poder conocer a algunas amigas que antes solo conocía de manera virtual, a través del grupo de Whatsaap.
That day was hectic but fun for me. It was my only day off from work, so I had to make sure I got everything done. In the morning, I went shopping for groceries and a few things I wanted to take to the movie screening where several fans of the band were getting together. The first thing I did was get a couple of banners printed for my friend and me. Then I went to a store that sold SkZoo merchandise (each band member has a representative animal). I went to buy at least two, but surprise! There was only one left! So I bought it right away and attached it to the one I already had.
Ese día fue muy agitado pero divertido para mi, lo que sucede es que era mi único día libre del trabajo, así que debía asegurarme de hacer todo lo que necesitaba ese día. Por la mañana me fui de compras, algunos víveres para la casa pero también algunas cositas que yo quería llevar a la proyección de la película en la cuál nos congregaríamos varias fans de la banda. Lo primero que hice fue mandar a imprimir un par de banners para mi amiga y para mi, luego me fui a una tienda donde vendían los SkZoo (cada miembro de la banda tiene un animal representativo) Así que yo fui a comprar al menos dos, pero ¡OH, Sorpresa! Solo quedaba uno 😲 así que lo compré enseguida y lo uní al que yo tenía previamente.
I arrived early at the mall where the movie theater was, but my friend arrived right on time, when we were supposed to go in. She was the only girl from Valencia (my city) in the fan club, just like me, who was going to the movie; the others went to theaters in other cities. But I loved meeting her in person. I'm glad to be able to share musical tastes with someone else. We were both on the same wavelength, so we had a great time and there was a lot of chemistry. We both kept talking about our expectations for what we were about to see on the big screen.
Yo llegué temprano al centro comercial donde estaba el cine, pero mi amiga llegó justo a la hora cuando ya debíamos ingresar, ella era la única chica de Valencia (mi ciudad) del club de fans al igual que yo que asistiría al cine, las demás fueron a cines de otras ciudades. Pero me encantó conocerla en persona, me alegra poder compartir gustos musicales con alguien más. Ambas estábamos en la misma sintonía, así que la pasamos super genial y hubo mucha química, las dos no dejábamos de plantear nuestras expectativas con respecto a lo que estábamos a punto de ver en pantalla grande.
When we finally entered the movie theater, it was absolute madness (in the best possible way 😄). It was the first time I'd ever seen so many fans of the band together, and it fills me with excitement because it opens the door for more events like this in my country, until finally, K-pop bands, especially my favorites, can officially come and perform here. But that was the closest thing to a Stray Kids concert we've had so far. We all screamed like crazy and sang along to the songs 😃 Just remembering it makes me relive that wonderful moment. We met more fans and also received some small gifts like photocards of our favorite band members.
Cuando entramos finalmente a la sala de cine todo aquello era una locura (en el buen sentido de la palabra 😄) era la primera vez que yo veía tantas fans de la banda juntas, y esto me llena de emoción porque abre la puerta a que continúen eventos como este en mi país, hasta que finalmente se abra la posibilidad de que las bandas de Kpop, en especial mis favoritas, puedan venir oficialmente a dar sus presentaciones. Pero esa fue la experiencia más cercana a un concierto de Stray Kids que pudimos vivir por el momento. Todas gritamos como locas, coreamos las canciones 😃 de tan solo acordarme revivo el maravilloso momento. Conocimos a más fans y además recibimos algunos pequeños obsequios como fotocards de nuestros miembros favoritos de la banda.
After the movie, my friend and I went to get a delicious frozen yogurt with lots of strawberry topping as part of another activity for the fan club and social media. I.N, one of the band members (who loves strawberries), had asked fans to take pictures of themselves eating strawberries or some other strawberry dessert in his honor. But this activity also gave my friend and me a chance to get to know each other better, talk about what we had just seen in the theater, and share our expectations for the band going forward. Honestly, we were both very happy and satisfied with such a lovely day.
Después de la función mi amiga y yo fuimos a tomar un delicioso helado de yogurt con mucho topping de fresa como parte de una actividad más para el club de fans y la redes sociales en las que I.N, uno de los miembros de la banda (el cuál ama las fresas) pidió que las fans se tomaran fotos comiendo fresas o algún postre con fresas en honor a él, pero además esta actividad nos sirvió a mi amiga y a mi para conocernos aún más, comentar acerca de lo que acabábamos de ver en la sala de cine y nuestras expectativas para la banda de aquí en adelante. La verdad es que ambas estábamos muy contentas y satisfechas con ese día tan bonito.
