A Day in Puerto Cabello/ Un Día en Puerto Cabello
Hello internet people, how are you? I'm BethyJade and today I want to show you a beautiful city where I was recently, it's Puerto Cabello (Hair Port), located in Carabobo state in Venezuela, it's beautiful, full of colours, culture and surrounded by a beautiful sea, but what is the origin of its name, nobody really knows, but it is presumed that when the Spanish arrived to this land they noticed the tranquility of the waters, so maybe someone joked saying that they could tie big ships with the strand of a hair.
Hola gente de internet ¿Cómo están? Soy BethyJade y hoy quiero mostrarles una ciudad preciosa en la que estuve recientemente, se trata de Puerto Cabello, ubicada en el estado Carabobo en Venezuela, es bellísima llena de colores, cultura y rodeada de un precioso mar, pero ¿cuál es el origen de su nombre?, en realidad nadie lo sabe, pero se presume que cuando los españoles llegaron a estas tierra notaron la tranquilidad de las aguas, así que tal vez alguien bromeó diciendo que podían atar grandes barcos con la hebra de un cabello.
What I liked the most about this city was the wide promenade where we can stroll at ease, I could not help fantasizing about living here for a few days, so that I could come here every afternoon to draw, since that is an activity that I like very much.
Lo que más me gustó de esta ciudad fue el amplio malecón por el que se puede pasear a gusto, no pude evitar fantasear con vivir aquí unos días, para poder venir todas las tardes a dibujar, ya que es una actividad que me gusta mucho.
In front of the sea there are many restaurants, inns and some shops, I really like the colour of all the colonial buildings.
Frente al mar hay muchos restaurantes, posadas y algunas tiendas, me gusta mucho el color de todos los edificios coloniales.
This is the cathedral of San José, a beautiful temple and one of the most visited by the people of the city.
Esta es la catedral de San José, es un templo hermoso y uno de los más visitados por la gente de la ciudad
The historic centre of this city is very interesting, full of colourful and beautiful buildings dating back to colonial times, as well as cobbled streets like this one.
El casco histórico de esta ciudad es muy interesante, está lleno de edificios coloridos y hermosos que datan de la época colonial, también tiene calles adoquinadas como esta.
But the most popular of all the streets is this one, "La Calle de los lanceros" (lancers' street), named after the lancer army of General José Antonio Paéz, a hero of our country who participated with Simón Bolívar in the struggle for independence. The street is recognisable because of this bridge, which in colonial times was used to transfer sacks of grain between the warehouses.
Pero la más popular de todas las calles es esta, "La Calle de los lanceros", la cual se llama así en honor al ejército de lanceros del general José Antonio Paéz, un prócer de nuestra patria que estuvo participó junto a Simón Bolívar en la lucha por la independencia. La calle es reconocible debido a ese puente, que en tiempo de la colonia servía para trasladar sacos de grano entre los almacenes.

What a beautiful alleyway and it reminds me of a portuguese settlements with colorful building and Portuguese styled architectures. Must be nice living nearby that kind of place.
