Sunday Zentangle | Flower

This is the last pattern I've made in a while. It was something that I saw in a short and wanted to imitate. The idea was to challenge myself into doing something else related to the whole pattern of petals. This is a sort of flower with lots of petals and a drop pattern between the petals.
As usual, the size was a nice way to keep the work at the normal interval. Then making the petals was the challenge. One needs to make sure almost everything has the same shape. Of course, that is only achievable once your hands stop being clumsy and maybe that won't be my case since I do woodworking and having tremors is a normal thing. Doing that kind of physical job gets to the steadiness of a fine movement.
Anyways, I did my best to try to keep the shape and symmetry on point. I didn't manage to do it properly, but that never stops the work on a pattern. So I let at it. Once the inicial parts of the design were in place, it all came down to deciding where to put the drops and other textures. You can see a lot of this on the results.
The colors were the easiest part. Hues that are along the same warmth or depth work well together. Since it was a flower pattern, I went with warm colors. It could have been done with cold ones as well, and the results would have been really good as well.
Being happy with the results is one of the best parts of doing these patterns. It also serves as a way to control anxiety and stress.
